Supposedly a lot of Sims 4 images have leaked this morning and PC PowerPlay has posted an image on their website with one of those leaked images on their cover! The Sims look stunning and unique.

Ok, but I didn’t really expected this kind of look.. It’s ok, but I thought that it will be a little bit more realistic…… But this is just render so, we don’t really know what it’s gonna look like at the final release.
I know this is a render but if the graphics are anything similar to that, I really don’t like it, it looks likes sims 2 type of graphics and I would hoped for more type of realism like sims 3 but improved.
amazing <3
i like it. back to sims 2 but with sims 3 rockin shoes
In my opinion it is horrible. We are talking about The Sims 4, right?! Not about a Sims Freeplay game.
At first sight, I don’t like it. I think the look of this sims can greatly improve by changing the textures, and, of course, giving more realism to hair. Is it really a picture of the game?
(Sorry if I made mistakes writing in the comment, I don’t know much English)
We’ll find out if this is true on the 20th.
Sorry for the double post. I found this http://www.simsdomination.com/jogo/thesims4-pc
Look at the pictures of the bottom of the page, they are interesting. The sims look a little better.
They look awfull. TS3 sims look much better. These look like TS2 Sims, a game from 2004.
I personally think Sims in TS3 look like plastic and they all look similar. These all look different, have their own unique style and look better.
To me these look all the same..
An interesting article has been posted here http://www.hypable.com/2013/08/15/the-sims-4-photos-gameplay-trailer/ . It shows several leaked screenshots of ts4.
Honestly, i m disappointed as never before. If this is what comes from the “people who created ts1” than i have to say i don t see anything that kind of reminds of that. Even though we still have to wait until tuesday my first impression on what i ve already seen is bad. I can accept a more cartoony look on sims themselves but the entire atmosphere (environment, objects look, houses look..) is way too different than original ts1 or even ts2.
All i see is a game that i guess was born as The Sims Olympus (some sort of The Sims Freeplay on PC) and then has been converted into TS4 after simcity fail. I would have been fine if these images were supposed to be of a spin-off, not of TS4 (a game that should live until 2019). Cartoony look makes me think more of a way to produce a game that is supposed to sell a lot but with less effort to create it. I dont know why it reminds me of TS2 for PS2 and i would have expected way toooooooo more for a forth GENERATION. Last but not least the general description of the main features (such as multitasking: they can talk while they drink) makes think is not worth buying.
However i ll be waiting for tuesday hoping for a change of mind. These are words of a player of TS since 2001.
@iTabooo, exactly, I think same!
Can’t say I’m impressed so far. The Sims look virtually the same as in The Sims 3, the texture quality looks about the same as well. They look less real though and more cartoony which is a big negative for me/us. In fact apart from new Icons, mouse pointers everything looks very similar.
It doesn’t look like they’ve created a new game engine so I guess The Sims 4 will still be stuck using the 13 (will be 14 by time of release) year old engine from The SIms 1 like all the other versions.
Based on what we’re seeing at the moment I doubt we will bother getting anymore Sims games as they are obviously not interested in developing properly!
Yeah, that hair? No thanks. Looks like play dough. No matter how good the rest of the game may look, if their hair is a solid block like that, it’ll ruin the whole thing for me. Can you imagine any animations moving something like that? Yuck.
Not to get on a high horse about sexism, but here goes: Why are the almost all of the female sims in this picture showing off a lot more skin than the males? What message does this send to young players? That women have to expose themselves to be attractive? Okay, getting off the horse, but just saying…
So yea, not the biggest fan of this. Hopefully it is just because it’s a render, but yea, it does look very “freeplay” or “mobile” looking. I was hoping for an even more realistic looking Sim, so lets hope that’s what the 20th will bring us!
I think it’s funny how so many people are wining about the graphics. The day people started whining about the newly seen sims 3 graphics, I knew people were going to be whining about the sims 4 graphics years later,. And what do you know… people are whining lol. So far I love everything about the sims 4. Even though the graphics may be way more cartoony, I actually like that, because I suspect it’ll somehow allow a much better blending and fluidity to the gameplay. Go back and play sims 2 and you’ll see that the processing and transitioning of movements in sims 2 was way faster and smoother than in the sims 3. In the sims 3 the sims can’t get two feet from each other before they become a massive traffic jam of sims. Just navigating sims 3, it felt really clunky, slow, and heavy. Just by looking at these graphics I can tell its going to be much better. I’m pumped!
I also have total confidence that the long lost sims charm is back. I can already tell by the detail put into the sims’ expressions. I have feeling I’m going to be up all night playing sims again like I did with the sims 2 lol.
I think what’s more important about sims is the experience, the memories, and the emersion–not the graphics. the sims 3 had decent graphics, but it sucked when it came to the experience. I get bored still even with all the expansion packs. I’ve gone back and played sims 2 with just the base game and had more fun lol. I have a feeling sims 4 is really going to be the next sims game after sims 2. sims 3 was a totally completely different game not worthy of being part of the sims franchise :(. I’m confident that sims 4 will be memorable!
Also, there is one thing that kind of sucks about these transition phases between one Sims generation to the next–as soon as I see pictures of the next Sims generation, I can’t play the current one because I feel like the current one sucks lol. Like right now, it’s going to be hard for me to play the Sims 3 because the Sims 4 looks so legit haha.
This is a SHIT! Sims are trashy, the bulildings are angular, anywhere in an arc, wow I can put the object/items diagonally! 3D? never! Only good old grid! The developers have reached this far in 10 years! Congrat! Need a competitor!
This is heartbreaking! I can’t believe that this is the graphic quality that they are going for… in 2014! How do they dare? How? This goes beyond a cartoonish style as many people are saying, this is just being plain lazy. This graphics are nothing like in TS2, and let’s remember that TS2 was released in 2004… ten years ago. And the graphics and overall engine looks much better. It’s not just the characters but the enviroments, the shadows, the lights, the trees (Oh God, what have they done with the trees!!!!?)
I will not buy this game if this is how it looks. I know gameplay is important but graphic quality also matters too, and they are not offering nothing groundbreaking when it comes to gameplay for that matter (Yeah, multitasking and what else? what else?)
I’m sorry, but I need to go and pray for a couple of hours. I want so bad the leaked images to be fake. But I guess we’ll find out soon…
I’ve been playing Sims since 2000, but I’m not going to conceal their laziness this time. They have to work hard and give us a good product if they want our money. I hate Electronic Arts with every ounce of my being…
