The Humble Bundle allows people to donate money to charity and in return they get games. EA have teamed up with the Humble Bundle to offer The Humble Origin Bundle!
By donating money to the charities (all money goes to charity) you will get plenty of EA games. The Sims 3 Starter Pack is one of these if you donate over the average donation, which at the time of my purchase was just $4.43.
If you’re looking to get The Sims 3 or other EA games, then the Humble Bundle is worth checking out – just click the image below!

Actually, while EA isn’t taking a cut, if the user doesn’t change the default money distribution 15% of the value goes to Humble Bundle Inc, which is the entity that organizes those sales and pays for the bandwidth (though, with this bundle, I believe that bandwidth only covers the soundtracks).
I tend to leave those 15% to them, though; I believe Humble Bundle deserves it.
BTW, credit where credit is due. While I don’t like EA, they do deserve praise for teaming with the Humble Bundle. I believe this is a nice first step towards earning some good will with gamers.
EA can’t even pay me to install their SecuROM-infested Origin client, so there’s no way I’m handing over a single penny to be treated like a pirate.
SecuROM, activation limits, installation limits, phoning home, always-on DRM, remote lockout (better not badmouth EA on their official forums if you want to keep your game collection!) just to name a few of EA’s “selling points” that ensure I’ll never buy anything from them again.
