See? These Sims are so much more attractive than the ones we see in the screen shots. Why can’t they look like this? 🙁
That’s an easy one that I can answer. Reason is because they are renders. The characters and objects were created in a modeling program (Maya, I believe). While in Maya, they can setup more detailed looks and lighting. Rendering in Maya can take some time – it requires a decent amount of computer power to render scenes, movies, etc.
They cannot add such detailed lighting and textures to the actual game, as that would bump up the requirements to high end machines. 🙂
The cover is astonishingly bad, by the way.
I have to agree. This cover is horrible!!!!
I quite like the cover to be honest, i don’t see anything wrong with it, ok the sims on the cover look like they’ve been airbrushed like models in a magazine but its what actually on the disk thats more important. 🙂
