As Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane would say, “Kew Kew Kew I love it, I love it!”. We’ve got another addition with a 1972 Plymouth Satellite as an Hazzard County Sheriff Cop Car. This type of car was used in the early Georgia episodes of the show. My parents and I pitched in money and bought it.

It is in a really decent shape. It was bought from a friend down in Cleveland, Al who runs a bodyshop known as Xtreme Machines. He has done a great job. Other than a few mechanical issues that have to be worked out, it is a fun driver and runs really great!
Don’t forget to check out the rest of the pics!

I made the graphic for the back window and we took it to a sign shop to put it on. This is our ‘dedication’ to James Best, who played Sherrif Rosco P. Coltrane on the series.
I also made this license plate which features his catch phrase. James Best liked it so much he was willing to autograph our sunvisor in the car.
This is our display that we carry to car shows.

Gimme some food!!!
I have a 1977 Chevy Malibu. In your opinion, do you think I could pull off the Sheriffs Car with it? Me and a Buddy are doing some local conventions and we want to drive there “in style.” (which may or may not include a chase)
Thanks
Do you mean a 4 door Malibu – http://www.classyauto.com/image_large.php?image_id=274549 ? I think you may be able to pull it off and get away with it from the average joe who watched the show, but die hard fans will be able to point it out with their eyes closed. If you don’t mind some of the “die-hards” insulting or shaking their heads in disgust (with an in-correct tribute I’ve experienced) then I don’t see why not. If you’ll be happy with the end results, go for it 🙂 Even though mine’s incorrect, I still have a blast, regardless of what others may think!
Sorry to be a buzz kill here. But someone needs to check the year again. That is not a 72. It looks more like a 73 or 74. I think some show fans should research their cars a lol more before fooling themselves. Hell look at the title.
