I have lots of work environments, such as complete environments for the seventh expansion, but will have to wait until October, if I remember correctly.
The development cycle of this expansion is only 2 ½ months, so I’ve done the work of pre-production while the production.

huh sounds like it could be a seasons ep or a magic rather have seasons though if what they are saying about the games environments it could mean a seasons ep good find 🙂
I hope it’s Seasons. I say release Seasons first but it will problebly be Magic and Seasons will be out in the Spring of next year.

Seasons, seasons, seasons!! I’m so over season, EA should make that EP and and make floods possible, you all would change your opinion.
Huh. I’d expect it to be around September or August, since it seems like the Expansion and Stuff Pack release dates are earlier in the year now.
I hope whatever it is they will add swimming in the ocean this to ep 7. I want that so bad.
Guys, he said WORK environments. That has zero to do with seasons. It means he works in several EA departments. Magic is EP7 and its a no brainer that its going to be released in October, just in time for EA to capitalize on Halloween.
2 ½ months for a development cycle means that they are going to rehash a bunch of stuff and make it magic themed.
Yeah, I think I’ll be done when this series is over. Sadly, most game companies think high productivity and quantity means more than quality. It’s time to vote with our wallet. A few game companies “get it” and do take their time to release something good. Others, like EA, don’t care.
Imagine if EA were to spend all year developing a high-quality EP. Throughout the year, they could still release stuff packs with objects, clothes, new music, and new interactions.
They said somewhere they were working on Showtime for almost one year. So maybe he just means; there are 2,5 months left for us to finish this EP. I don’t think they make a whole expansion pack in 2,5 months.. if that is, I will be wondering what we get. Seasons is too complex to create in 2,5 months I guess.
Well we just have to wait. I think an official announcement will be out soon.

For now it’s all speculation. There are so many clues around; Rain category in the store -> weather. Leaked patch stuff -> magic. It’s all a guessing and speculating.

Just let’s wait. I’d rather prefer Seasons than magic, cause I know what happened with the vampires in late night. I don’t want to get my whole town flooded with werewolves and fairy’s. Besides that; it’s not a fairytale game. So no, please seasons.

Environment Artist : “a 3D modeler, specializing in outdoor or indoor locations for a game’s setting. They are responsible for creating the majority of the overall visuals the player will encounter on the screen, making approximate collision so that the player isn’t colliding with every little detail, optimizing geometry so that the level runs at a manageable framerate, and helping bring life to the game world.” So yeah… I reckon it’s season or something completely new. Oh and btw expansion pack development are longer than stuff packs. The Sims 3 Pets was in development way way before it was even announced to the public so don’t judge.
But perhaps the development team is working on the game for several months while this anonymous producer has joined the team to only 2.5 months ..
Seeing as the crew over at EA has already cashed out their magic to the store franchise, a whole EP centered around that topic would be kinda lack-luster, and, truthfully speaking, pointless. I dont see any evidence pointing to any specific theme, but the it’s not out of the realm of possibility for them to merge the two. Seeing as the couldron, spellbook, crystal ball, and voodoo doll are already in the store.
Why is everyone surprised? Pets was an OCT 2011 release. and if it’s magic/supernatural, well that’d be just perfect. then we might even see a x-mas/festival/ season centric SP in Dec/Jan, with a spring relases of ep 8. does no one else pay attention to release date patterns?
