Regular cars? Normal taxi services? Portals instead of Sci-Fi rabbit holes? No special telescope that enables Alien abduction? This world is drier than the ground textures that they proudly display! EA seriously needs to go watch Total Recall and The Fifth Element.
I don’t really car about the aliens to be honest. I think the world is OK but the should have made more objects with a Sci-Fi appearence to match the world.
I personally think that having regular cars and taxis and school buses, etc. is a little bit of a cop-out. They really colud have given us something different- unique- to that hood besides the crystal trees.
I know Show Time will have some more futuristic furniture. Kinda sad we “have to” buy it to get more stuff that fits. But maybe some custom content makers will make some fitting items.

There was never any indication that Aliens would return. It was a nice wish that most Simmers had, but in the end it would be better for them to return via Expansion Pack. Personally, I’d rather have legit Aliens with pointed ears, flat noses and special traits that make them awesome and special. Not watered-down and in the store, like traditional Magic. If you listen to the second half of her reply to the Alien question, she does say that Aliens is not off of the table for a future release and that they ALL loved Aliens in Sims 2. Maybe saving the best for last or as a surprise. Who knows? 🙂

I think the idea of the ‘Memory of {World}’ parks are really ingenious, and a nice nod to the other TS3 Games.
It is bit annoying that there’s no aliens or returning TS2 characters – Pollination Technician from Strangetown would’ve fitted in perfectly! 😉
However, I do like the fact that an unheard-of Specter Family member is in the game.
