  1. For a second, i thought there was going to be a “The Sims 3 Bon voyage” expansion coming soon.. sigh :/ wishful thinking ahaha, besides that, im looking quite forward to this set!

  2. this getting annoying!! EA just uses that darn calendar to show us stuff that they can most probably just post normally on their forums! They haven’t given us any good freebies which is the point of having an advent calendar anyway!! X(

  3. As much as I love Bon Voyage stuff—to heck with the decorative objects! Give us fully animated items like the Tea Table, the Zen Garden, the Axe-throwing Station, the Mahjong Table, and the Log Rolling Pit! Those I would cheer for.
    But decorations? Meh.

Sigh…agree, I never played Sims 2, so I wished I could enjoy a holiday in Sims 3. Still hope they will release a vacation theme EP.

I love this set I hope they remake Sims 1 objects especially Superstar and Makin Magic objects.

World Adventures isn’t really a vacation EP. You go on adventures and tomb raiding, but there really isn’t much to go to these places in the sense of vacation like there was in Bon Voyage for Sims 2 and Vacation for Sims 1.

I do agree with your other statement, would love to see Sims 1 objects remade. Maybe they could start with adding more to the Old Town set they started ages ago… Maybe add premium content that’s the espresso and pastry carts.

Nah, World Adventures is a bit over focus on adventures. I’d prefer Sims 1 vacation or something closer.

That was thanks to that loser Rod Humble, so happy that he’s no longer at EA. He was also behind Medieval.

  11. i well not be buying thats for sure!!! wont get no money from me EA!!

thay broke there game whean pets came out and thay dont even care!

thay care more about money thean thay do about fixing own game!

    good companys fix there games!

if thay dont fix there game i wont be buying any more sims 3 games from theam!

thay dont care about there fans if thay did thay would fix there game!

a games not worth paying for if thay dont work right!

  12. at least the sims 2 BV has oceans you can swim in unlike the sims 3 were you can just fish in the ocean.EA is not makeing oceans swimable in this store set whats the big deal!?!?!?!

  13. I’m not wasting my time or money on this, or S3 showtime. If They ever come out with an actual Makin’ Magic Reboot for TS3, then I might but at this point I’m skeptical about a weather packbeing any good either after all the $hit with Pets.

  14. About this set I love it. I can use all that stuff in Hidden Springs with the many cabins it has.

I was hoping the hammock would be thrown in and I’m still hopeful the bear rug will make it. I’ve been waiting for both of these interactive objects since the survey a year ago.

I hope this set is more then just decor and has the two gameplay objects listed above but I’ll still buy it if it’s just decor. I’m glad they add the deer antlers and the bear.

This however doesn’t look like a completion to the frontier set as it looks like it’s mostly for outdoor decour but the antlers, lights and maybe a few other items can be used inside as well.

They still need a frontier bath and bedroom set.. My guess is we’ll see this set in January if it’s just a decor one. If it’s premium we might see it next week as next week they will be releasing a new premium set, item and possibly a venue. I hope this cabin comes with this set.

  15. I, personally, am offended that they are making people pay for something that was paid for once. These conversions should be free. Anyone could do them for free already if they aren’t going to bother to animate any of it.

  16. Great. Now we can REbuy all the objects that we’ve bought in the past! I just love spending my hard-earned money again and again for the same stuff over and over. Thanks EA!!

  17. Also, why are they pitching the Store so hard when, if releasing EPs twice a year and if TS4 follows previous patterns (should be a 2014 3-4 qtr release), that leaves only 3 more expansion packs for the series and not nearly enough time to cover new or requested ground…

  18. I…I…I dont know, I keep feeling that our Sims aren’t, well, grateful. Yeah, they enjoy dancing in the club, but they don’t enjoy the scene. The lights are a good example, they never care how awesome or bright your lights are, they just care how fun they get(and how much rooms mood are added, so you can just, example: put tons of fast lane stuff in an exclusive lounge). I, just cant express the feeling, why does Sims 1 allow people to feel satisfied with what they made but Sims 3 cant?

But today, I suppose I have the answer, it’s because most objects are pure deco, no animation. Remember how awesome was Sims 1 Hot date’s furniture? Swing? animated deco?

Sadly EA has taken the cheap road with Sims 3. Sims 1 and even Sims 2 had a lot of awesome stuff that had a ton of animations attached to them. Even the fountains in Sims 2 had more interactions than the ones in Sims 3. Besides viewing them, you could also add soap to them and they’d even freeze over in the winter time.

Guess what? They put all those awesome features to Sims Social only, January we’ll get the karaoke box which only people willing to buy showtime will get in Sims 3(March) and it only cost simoleans.

…Any reason why EA is over focus Sims social then Sims 3?

  21. orangecake, I believe the word you’re looking for is “superficial”. TS3 is superficial compared to its predecessors, because it’s all about telling and not showing. Text bubbles, moodlets TELL you what’s going on but they never SHOW it. We’re now playing a very boring interactive novel instead of a simulation.

Money. People fall into the trap that is in-game micro-transactions with Sims Social. SS = More $ for EA. Impatient and easily bored/cheater Simmers are the biggest targets of Games like Sims Social and the new Sims FreePlay.

  23. @funnykid
Thanks for the word, and yay…to think we human degraded ourselves…from technology to simple novels….

    @theblackscorpion
I’m impressed, that’s a really good answer.Because SS gave up to 10 simcash for a row of 5 day. I tought EA chose this way because “FB haz a lot users! Let’s use their name for our Sims!”<-Result: Showtime and memory sharing.

  24. Ya know, that’s precisely what’s wrong with TS3…It is like EA took everything that was loved & made the game fun & gutted it… Like a pumpkin, offering up supposedly better graphics & features but the game is really hollow. TS3 should have evolved from TS2, we should have had basic vacations & weather and careers players wanted right away, customization should have been better. Back in TS1 they had a living enviroment, grass & flowers grew. Now it’s a giant plastic Barbie bubble… I sad & just plan cheated out of what could have been an awesome experience… stupid greedy people…

  25. Orange cake, TBS & Funnykid really hit the nail on the head. We got way more with previous games, part of why they entertained so much more throughly then the current incarnation does. Man. I feel depressed, holding out hope for a game that just goes further into the crapper each EP, not for what it does add but for what is left out. TS3 should have been a harmonious amalgamation of TS1 & 2 with amazing new things and a more submersive enviroment and more interactive/reactive surroundings. Instead it really is about fake plastic people in a fake plastic world overrun with non-reactive/interactive Decorative objects. Car doors don’t even open in this game!
