I know this may not have any relation to Showtime, however I thought it linked together. EA have released an image of the judges from The X Factor (Not the new USA one…)… does anyone else think this relates to The Sims 3 Showtime, since The X Factor is a singing competition… or is it just a convenience?
Personally, I think this is a possible hint at it.
I dislike everything about this “showtime” whatever business.
I actually would not find it stupid to have the idea of “reality shows” and “tv competions” bad, why not/ Coudl be fun, could earn sims good money QUICKLY. Who knows 🙂 could be fun.
We just gotta wait and see.. it probably is just a promotional video, like Susan Boyle, Movide parodies (SATC, Hangover), Royal Wedding, that type o stuff.
Spon1Player,
I think its possible, but it still doesn’t prove anything. Until it becomes official, lets not hold our breath.
I just want to watch an official video about Showtime! Come on, EA!
I don’t know about you guys, but even a player like me is sick of listening to those request, I mean, of course they will do! They’re waiting for all of you dying and hoping for it, then release. Thus, they can get pre-order much better than expected while doing it very crappy.(Since you already pre-ordered)
and for @JohnBigOz
I THINK I HAD ENOUGH FROM LN, (celeb)HAVING A DRINK GIVES 2K, HOW MUCH ON EARTH DO YOU WANT?
even tho i dont play on pc, unfortunately, but woo Louis Walsh! 😛
In the leaked “trailer”, it does who footage from X-Factor. Never know about EA…
I reckon it is because they done the same thing before they announced Generations
Yeah… I actually think you might be onto something there.
I agree it may hint at talent competitions coming to TS3, similar to Freetime perhaps?
Yeah maybe. But I’m still very sceptical about this EP, I mean, come on, you guys can do better, I don’t know weather, university or maybe science fiction themed EP…
It’ll be funny if this was all just a joke campaign set up by EA and then maybe afterwards have a big announcement on something we have been asking for.
X Factor was on the trailer – i love The X Factor and wud love singing competitions in-game. Also I’d love music/acting/shows as the theme + touring and more celebrity actions x and zooossss
I hope this is just a joke. I want weather back in the game, and definitely not as the final EP before Sims 4 comes out because I won’t have enough time to play it. I played Apartment Life for maybe a month or two, then quit Sims 2 all together because it didn’t seem as good to me as Sims 3 did. Even Open for Business or University would be more fun than some pack based on reality shows.
Aw, crap!!!
Oh bugger… That Showtime-thingie starts to sound more and more plausible all the time…
I try to keep an open mind about it… It might be fun. All the rest of it, if I stop thinking about the Facebook/Twitter stuff, which I am in no way interested in. But it’s just… More fame? More from rags to riches? I think my sims already have alot of that in my game. I want simple sims, with simple lives. I want something simple to enhance their lives. Sigh. Well, I guess I’ll just have to wait and see.
Can you link, please?
Still hoping that this is all fake, so not interested in reality shows and celebrities! Boring! Here in the UK shows like X-Factor, etc are plummeting down the ratings like a brick in water!
Obviously, like most people, we’d like weather in the game. Not necessarily as the main focus of the pack but maybe as a part of something bigger?
Also, we have zero interest in social media, and I suspect that very few Sim Players actually do… and I would predict that an EP concentrating on this would be a major flop…
Pardon? FYI the facebook freaks LUVS to share their crap on it, so they LUVS this kind of expansion. *enter a bad word of your own here* them.
Well if they are gonna be adding reality TV how about they add one of the only reality shows worth watching, The Real World. “7 strangers picked to live in a house together… this is what happens when people stop being polite and start getting real.” 🙂
I hate reality TV as much as I hate social networks. Forums are one thing but dang. I really hope this isn’t the direction they’re taking. I stopped watching american idol the year ruben studdard (sp?) won. . . reality tv is utter crap. I’d rather see something tasteful & simple & back to basics then MORE flash & glam… Good God, give it a rest EA. bwah, what do I know…
