EA Russia loves answering questions from the Sims community. This time they’ve answered a few about the sixth Expansion. They mention that the next EP would be about life, but in a another form. Aliens? Fingers, toes, arms, legs and eyes crossed for Aliens!
Question by WolfMega: What is the theme of the 6th EP of the Sims 3??? If it life again, so it will be like Generations 2.0??? Not everybody likes Generations and it’s rather small expansion.
Answer by EA Russia: There are a lot of new interactions in the Generations, just explore it. The next EP is about life, but in another format. It is not similar to any Expansion pack in The Sims 2. The logo contains a black background & light Letters.
Somebody: Look, there are 3 carousels for kids in Generations: 1st – pirate ship (hint for Pirates & Nobles), 2nd – horse (hint for Pets) and the 3rd – space rocket. Is it a hint for space EP?

I just hope that if they do choose to add aliens to the game agian, they make them a bit more alien than they were in the Sims 2. Those were a bit too human like. We can pretty much easily recreate them in Create A Sim. That said, I can imagine some really cool things that they could do with aliens. However, what I’m really hoping the add to the Sims 3 at this point is the werewolf.
The next EP better have Seasons in it. Seasons should have been one of the first EPs for TS3. I just want weather. I don’t care if it’s the main theme or just something on the side, but I want real weather in the game.

When they say it’s about life, in another format, maybe they just mean adding mythical creatures and such! Aliens, mermaids, elves, witches, wizards, werewolves! You never know! But yea, I’d like it if EA could release a Seasons EP, but from the looks of this interview, it doesn’t seem like it! Seasons will probably be the last or second-to-last EP of the TS3 series because EA knows that it is the most demanded feature and EP! They probably wanna squeeze every little idea out first before Seasons cause they might think if they just release Seasons now, everyone might just stop buying EPs cause all they wanted was seasons! it’s just a business thought of mine lol

i wouldn’t completely cross out magic, as if was a minor theme in Apartment Life. Then again, i also say it could involve Aliens if there’s talk about space. They said it’s “not similar to any Sims 2 expansion”, Aliens wasn’t part of a Sims 2 Expansion, it was part of the Base Game. If they return, i will love EA long time!
Interesting:) So, it is not aliens as they stated. They also state the background is dark with light letters, and supernatural theme is on my mind so far.
By the way, guys, I have a feeling that even if the guy from EA Russia is correct, he didn’t mean what a lot of you think he meant. He probably just meant to say that the next expansion pack would have a different theme than anything made for the Sims 2. It may have nothing to do with aliens or any other make believe creature, and the new make believe creature that comes with it, may play a very minor role.

So that rules probably rules out Seasons, Holidays, Businesses, & Magic…
I believe we need to think more about the way Generations advanced the gameplay and try to come up with similar ideas.
For example it could add medical things to their lives in the form of broken bones, toothaches and illnesses? They could get nosebleeds and black eyes when they fight. EA may add GP surgeries, dentists and clinics to the cities.
Try to think more along the lines of lots of little improvements and additions to a Sims (and their Pets) lives rather than a single big idea.
Better have weather in it…all I’m saying!

Just a reminder that the coding for Alien Abduction has already been found in the game code, so to think that an expansion, based on “Life, but not as we know it”, could feature Aliens, is not a huge leap in logic. I for one would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE if they brought Aliens back… and made them real aliens, not just Sims of a different color. The possibilities would be staggering… the catalog items, the traits, the favorites- not to mention the genetics involved, would be truly fun to see and explore!
