The latest patch for The Sims 3 has been found on the EA Servers via TickleontheTum and will update your base game to version 1.22. For other expansion/stuff pack patches, see below.

Base Game Updates
- You can now collect Memories of significant moments in your Sims’ lives in the new Scrapbook. Custom Memories can also be created using the Capture This Moment tool. All Memories can be uploaded and shared on TheSims3.com and Facebook!
- You can now adjust the lifespan length for each individual phase of life that a Sim goes through via the Options menu.
- Live Mode – Sims can now ask other Sims out on dates! Sims will now be given a Romantic Reputation based on their social interactions in the local dating scene.
- Create a Sim – Body hair can now be applied on male Sims, from head to toe!
- Build/Buy Mode – Players can now use the Catalog Filter in Build and Buy Mode to sort Content from different installed Expansion Packs and Stuff Packs, as well as content from The Sims 3 Store.

nah…I suppose it has the body hair in it too…
hm…i’m 100% sure, retail or cracked doesn’t play a role… but having a mini-image of the disc is a MUST for those with a cracked version of the expansion/stuff packs 🙂

Yep, all works. Has Body Hair, Memories, Dates, the new slider for how long each age lasts and the Buy Mode filter to only show specific items to each EP or whatever.
The Launcher do not ask me to update yet. I have the Late Night installed(no updates for that version), so will wait until Generations arrives to update it.

First new bug and it’s a biggie: The camera skill from WA is 100% broken. Now, this could be because there will be a WA patch yet, alongside the basegame one we currently have.

my game is orginal, i do not have generations , i could not install this update. my game is up to date. it gives not file found error. it does not install it even so, i can not open game after i try to install this update. i reinstall my game now
I’ve downloaded and installed it and apart from being incompatible with mods it works fine.
So far I’ve noticed:
Age Stage sliders now in options
Memories System added.
Game seems smoother and more responsive.
As far as I can tell it works correctly. I have everything up to and including Outdoor Stuff installed and the game is working fine.
Patch installed fine. One side effect though, 3booter doesn’t work. Meaning frames per second can no longer be limited by a third party tool. I’m getting up to 2500 fps. Dissapointed in EA.
Probably nothing much has been fixed – especially since we had our last patch in Feb, and that was appauling.

@nasos95 Who told you that you need a mini-image? A cracked .exe is enough.
You can also filter content (to show only items from a certain EP) with this patch
Since the patch isn’t officially out yet, I don’t think the new crack is out yet, so people with a pirated copy will have to wait until it becomes available.
But since I’m using an original copy, I can’t say for sure 😉

Every time I load up my game it crashes. I removed all of my CC. hmm. Not sure what I should do. I’ve tried a few different things with no luck. I really don’t want to reinstall it.
Everything works fine for me but I read on the forums that it’s not safe to install if you have more than the base game. Is there a chance there’s going to be difference between what you are offering here and what we will get when the actual patch is released? Or will it all be the same?
working good , i do install genereation on sims 3 version 1.19 when update goes to version 1.21.123.011002 , then install done i go in ISO cd crack folder copy to files and put files in THE SIMS 3 not in generation dir , when run exe from generation bin or destop , sorry for my english and say word crack very sorry
I got it working. I used the crash analizer which told it was a dep problem. so using the large address aware program I found out that there is no ts3.exefor ambitions and high end. So I reinstalled those packs and then patched them and now I’m good. I just had to remove some of my hacks.

I went to install generations, but it said my game needed updating, and to use the laubcher to update. My launcher however said there were no updates available… so I came here. Wil try this and then hope Generations installs. Ridiculous the hoops we have to jump through…. Will there even BE updates for the SPs and other Expansions?
I’m having the same issue as JRON7667. I’d be interested to know if downloading this patch version (assuming it’s still unofficial?) solved the problem or if it would be more prudent to wait out EA and see if it shows up in the Launcher eventually.
I just logged off with EA support and they said it’s a known issue and referred me to the forums, which are down. So they really don’t know what’s going on.

They have no clue what’s going on. I just got off with support as well and they told me the same thing basically. Except they added repeatedly that there was ‘no official information’ as to a time estimate for when the issue would be resolved or what was causing it and so on.
If you have the DD and are getting “need to patch” message, get the Cumulative [644mb] patch. It works!

Make your own FPS limiter. You need Java installed to run this.

-extract archive into separate folder
-run FPS_Limiter_GUI.jar from that folder
-make sure to have D3D9 selected
-click “search executable” and select TS3W.exe from gamebin from the base game
-click “create bat”
-now you have to copy the next files directly into the base game install dir. (not gamebin): FPS_Limiter, HookHelper.dll, Limiter_D3D9.dll and TS3W.exe.limited.bat
-you will run generations with TS3W.exe.limited.bat

Incremental is installing one patch before the other. Cumulative updates it to the newest version without all of the other updates. 🙂

I installed the patch and installed Generations. Loads fine but two minutes in, it shuts down with the messagE: “Sims 3 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working. Windows will notify you if a solution is found.”

Save it anywhere you want, you have to run it in order to install, it’ll update your base game once you run it…..

I, like many others, want to know if there will be a patch for the individual EPs and SPs.
Why EA hasn’t officially told us yet is beyond me. Very bad business.
Also, I think it’s really shitty that a SimGuru released a download link to a MANUAL cumulative patch that is 644 MB. That is way too large and some of us are on 5 GB bandwidth limits and could never download something that extreme. 644 MB is almost the size of a freaking movie. Also, there are other people out there who aren’t on bandwidth caps, but they do have slow or spotty connections.
Also, it would be nice if they told us if they were releasing an incremental patch from 1.19 to 1.22. I’m assuming 1.21 is Generations and not everyone has that.
If they do not release a 1.19-1.22 incremental, then I will be screwed for previously mentioned reasons and EA will CERTAINLY get a very nasty call from me if they do. If you’re going to make it nearly impossible for me to play your game, then I’m not going to waste anymore money on expansions.
if anyone is having game freezes/crashes after installing the patch with or without having Generations installed, uncheck/untick “Memory Notifications”. That feature is glitched also, try not to share memories until this bug is fixed.

The last update was for Late Night, I got few months ago. It is 6.2.4.010001. I am getting Generations today, but prefer to wait for Launcher to ask me to update rather than the link.

I’m on Mac and I just installed the newest patch. Now my game doesn’t even open. I took out all the custom contents and still the same thing happens.
I have till Late Night. I just click on the LN icon then the original Sims 3 logo appears and disappears without the launcher launching. I’m getting pretty frustrated. D:
I just can’t find the patch for Late Night! I checked out The Sims Wiki’s article about the patch, and it marks that the patch is available only for Base Game and those with Outdoor Living, so after reading that, I didn’t wanted to use the link. I don’t know if those with an EP need or not the patch. It’s very annoying, as I already bought Generations, but I don’t know if I can already install the pack, or waiting until EA fix the issue and I could then download the patch from the launcher.

The same thing is happening to me!! I also have a mac and after I install this latest patch, it won’t open for me anymore. I wondered if it had something to do with the memory space on my computer or with the CC I have, but I’ve uninstalled it and my game three times now. I think I’ll just keep refusing the update until EA gets it fixed!!

About the Mac-patch, if it hasn’t been fixed since yesterday, here is the solution: http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/150/380002.page Download the proper file, choose the Sims3.app and you should be fine.
As a developer, this is just like I am used to say about some companies.
Companies which do not follow a project modelling model the way it is meant to do, happens that. Poor management.
Basically the advancements in the game system/coding wasn’t documented properly or then it is not something they would like to claim that is “properly” fixed or a feature that is “shiny” enough to enter in the patch change log.
As almost every change log many of the changes ends with a exclamation which just give emphasis of “look what we did! wow”
Although some past patches used to at least document of what was made, or that we can at least think that it was…
And here I stood in thinking that such big company as EA would have a better management, after I saw The Sims 3 development team work, I left out that idea alone.

I tried updating frm the sims3 launcher, and it said that my game is up to date but it says that my base game is incompatible with the current expansion pack.
