It appears that someone has scanned Walmart’s videogame list of upcoming release dates and posted them on the internet. A number of EA games are included. We have both DarkSpore and The Sims 3 Outdoor Living Stuff arriving February 1, 2011. The Sims 3 for the Nintendo 3DS and The Sims Medieval on March 22, 2011. Last we have The Sims 3 Expansion Pack 4 slated for May 10. No other details were given, just the estimated date of arrival. Take it for what it is worth (pretty much nothing), but we know a fourth expansion is coming, and that’s about the right time for it.

I’m getting impatient for seasons. I really want to know how they would implement it. However, a really solid romance and relationships themed pack would also be awesome.
Next ep sure will be Seasons or Pets or Both. But we need to wait for some week and we will know.
I hope mermaids make an appearence, I don’t how they would work but there are loads of people who want them.
I want mermaids! 🙂 But I do think that Seasons will be next. It should be joined with a vacation theme, since they go hand in hand. Personally, I think Pets will be separate, since it’s too big of a theme. But Seasons/Vacation can actually compliment each other. And this time, they better open that damn ocean up for swimming. I get tired of looking at that useless body of water. Well, I know Sims can fish in it, but that’s it. Even if they can’t go too far, that’d still be fine. Perhaps EA can grant us a new death: SHARK ATTACK! And the ability to surf! 🙂
what is odd is that the game list goes all the way to dec of next yr. and they dont list SP 4 and EP5. EA said they would be releasing EP and SP periodically so we should be seeing more like 4 different EP and SP on that list…
eww i hate the idea of mermaids…to hard and how are we going to watch them/move around? & i dont think they would make a vacation ep, with world adventures out.
Only about two per year with the way it’s been going. Two EPs and two SPs per year. So, we should see at least one other SP and another EP. However, Sims games seem to be more secretive than other games. Notice how we rarely ever see any EPs or SPs far in the future? They are usually kept top secret.
It would be better if Seasons and the relaxing-type Vacation will be in this pack. It will be perfect, with holidays and such. I think Sims 2 Seasons didn’t really sell a lot because it only introduced a few boring weather effects. They should introduce more in the coming Seasons expansion pack. AND I’m not saying that the coming EP is a Seasons pack.
with certain downloadable content and hacks you could do mermaid in ts2. a mermaidesque skin with a tail outfit set as swimwear, a swimable lake and/or a beachfront property and you’re set, so technically it would also be possible to do yourself in ts3, there is already a ocean swimming hack, you just need to play around with some meshes….
I can’t wait for Seasons! It better snow, hail, rain, and have thunderstorms in all the existing neighborhood.

I’m really disapointed with the sims 3 lately, I just couldnt get hooked on it like i did with the sims 2! I miss all the old neighborhoods anc charachters (calientes, veronaville-capp/monty, pretty much everyone in strangertown especially the aliens:) I would love a College EP! Universtiy was so much fun, although I also loved open for business. I will be uber disapointed if its pets though, i disliked pets so much! I like the idea on the relationships one though:) Mermaids are too out there for the sims in my opinion.
adventures are great, but i would like to take my sims on relaxing family vacations with fancies hotels and spots, seasons with weather will be perfect so we can choose where to take them , mountains with snow , the beach, great gardens and more.. basically all the ts2 ep back .. then start fresh with brand new ideas for ts3 ep.. i know it is a NEW game but it is very hard for a sims fan not to miss what we already have on the sims 2. specially when EA take so long to come out with each Ep..
i totally agree i really enjoy open for business, the florist stand; the pottery stand .vacations, free time , university and seasons, i like pets but i can take it or leave it . of curse i’ll get it if release, i want cruises. camping , mountains, skiing four wheelers, the beach where they can get in,. natural springs where the sims can get. in. the massage table back. exotic island fun, casinos vegas , Europe trips , more music instruments.
I think it will be a Seasons expansion too, which will be so cool. but i really want the Makin Magic to make a repeat appearance. that was so fun!
ooooh I would love to have the idea of cruises and las vegas holidays ! That sounds amazing ! But I do miss pets too, but I would want more of a variety this time! And it’d be cool if they had like a farm ep it’d bring much more life to gardening and then also seasons would link in quite well for growing the plants etc. 🙂 and opening the bloody ocean is a must it drives me crazy ! D:

I think Seasons with Holidays would do well. World Adventures is more quest driven gameplay. Seasons + Bon Voyage/Vacation. Go to a sunny place on holiday while its snowing where your sims are… but EA left weather out cause they know they can make money from it 🙁
Yea 🙂 but if you buy a holiday home, you can live init and still relax? but what you said bout europe trips and LAS VEGAS 🙂 and i agree with the ocean!!! i want my sim to paddle 🙂
Well, I can tell you what EP4 is NOT going to be. It won’t be vacation themed because there’s World Adventures. Not “Open for Business” type because of Ambitions (includes self-employment). And Nightlife = Late Night.
I’m hoping for Seasons that adds some sort of localized weather system that can be added into any town. Pets will be totally awesome.
They’ll need to think of new playable life form(s), new way(s) to die (btw, death by meteor was stupid), maybe new jobs, and a new town (or 2).
The new playable life form is either going to be werewolves (new Twilight movie) or witches/warlocks/genies (new Harry Potter movie).
Just some of my predictions.
twilight can suck it! Im glad EA kept the classic vampires and not the gay sparkle-pires. witches and genies would be awesome! I would love mermaids and the ability to become one…or not…that would require a whole nother EP. anyway seasons and pets are my top choices, aliens also cool. More destinations for trips would be good, like italy, spain, africa, and islands.
I love my sims castaway for PS2, I wish they would make one of those for sims 3 pc.

I would like an expansion full of creatures. LOL
Werewolves, genies, PlantSims (Or another name), PETS, zombies, etc. all in one. They can call the expansion “Creatures”. LOL or not.

I can’t wait for Weather/Seasons! May seems a long time away! And it’s about time for aliens to appear back..=)
I’d love for them to just have add-on packs instead of EP’s where you can add new cities from around the world so that the World Adventure EP has more to it then the 3 cities it came with.
Anyway it would be great to see a Sims 3: School Edition… which would have pre-school, elemntary, middle school, high school, college, and graduate school. Then maybe a medical and law school too.
It would have school activities, sports programs/events, prom, spring break, college orientation, visiting home from college, and other fun things you would find in the real world offered in the game EP.
It would be great if they had some kind of seasonal thing with winter and summer added into the game so it would fit for the students to have a summer vacation and winder break with christmas and new years.
These are the kind of things that would enhanced not only the experience, but the way the sims will get new careers and gain other experiences from just this pack if it were made possible as the next EP.
Haven’t you all noticed? They are not trying to make the same EPs that were made for Sims 2. They just impliment different things.
I agree with the comment above, but they are pretty much certain to put weather and pets into expansion packs because they are so highly requested by users.
I wish they didn’t make stuff packs and made extra expansion packs and then put the content that would go in the stuff packs into the sims 3 online store.
I really hope they put some of the University and Freetime features into some of the sims 3 ep’s aswell and then the rest just whole new creations.
Seasons AND University in one EP, perhaps?
– New Professions/Careers for persons that go to college
– Stereotypical Spring Break location for new vacation spot
– People can travel to go to college, and then have to go back home between times (like how you can only stay on WA vacations a set period of time)
– New recipes, crops, inventions, etc available for Sims that have completed up to a certain level in Culinary/Gardening/etc major? [Maybe a Sim can have a Slacker major where they learn how to make drinks, and earn the ability to throw awesome parties, but their income is not affected]
– Sims that complete Uni, get higher starting of pay for Jobs
Additionally, for going back to college, if they don’t back within a certain period of time…
For Sims that are less studious, and more about partying, a School Break positive moodlet
For Sims that are more about academics and hard work, perhaps a negative moodlet, or the urge to do research related to their major on the computer (which could also, make that moodlet go away?)
Perhaps also if they don’t go back to college right away, a “Drop Out” moodlet that lasts from a few days to a week, to shame them into going back to college? lol.
I hope they make an expansion where it adds a sims yearly calender and as those days pass by we see different holidays and of course seasons will be added depending on the time of the year! With every holiday you would have to do something to make your sims enjoy for example on Halloween your sims can go trick-or-treating, or go to a Haunted House!
I like the idea about las vegas holidays and cruises but they should add in amusement parks all in one ep. that would be awesome. But I really want SEASONS back because i miss weather.
And they should have daycares. and lawyers, oh and i like the college idea but i think sims should be kept back if they fail. and they should really get into graduating, cause if they don’t deserve to graduate they have spend another week in school as a young adult. and cops should really buckle down on criminals. so like if you steal somethin and your caught you like get fired and can’t get a full job until like a week.
I came up with an Idea of a Sims 3: Real Time, in which the could add in a calander feature, seasons and improvements to schooling, work and free time. In this they could give us certain weathers but with the calander that would set a real time for decorateing things for Halloween, Christmas, New year ect. And this could then add new moodlets such as a negitive change in season or positive change in season. This was just a little brainstorm I had while reading some comments

The only 2 expansions I want is seasons/pets. Since my pc isnt the best, thats all i can probably handle, besides world adventures lol. I want seasons first then pets but whichever comes first is fine with me; as long as I get them ;P

It’s not really vacation world adventures, it’s more quest driven gameplay where you don’t have a holiday, just a tent…
i think that personaly pets was a load of sh*it but all the others were good im enjoying the sims 3 but just not as much as sims 2 for example theres onlt limmited ways of dieing on sims 3 but on sims 2 there were loads and i agree with the comment above the adventures one you should be able to buy a holiday home or something i hate the furniture they give us so i have to download off of the sims rescorces and it is a big let down they should do a seasons theamed pack but with extra things like weather forcasts on the tv and such things like that
I’m loving all the university and “real time” suggestions. University was my favorite Sims 2 expansion pack. Maybe we could give college sims new actions like….calling their parents to bum money off of them, or spring break type stuff.
Also, real time things such as holidays and weather would be an awesome addition, but I think it should also come with the option to turn off the calendar. I know a lot of simmers enjoy doing whatever they want without structure to the game, so having a set calendar may not appeal to everyone. It totally appeals to me, though, so I def hope they make an ep like that. :/

I love the real time idea and seasons… I also wish they would make a stuff pack with more stuff for babies toddlers and kids. More toys they can interact with. Also they should make it so that pregnant sims can wear whatever they want.
I can’t wait to find out more. I am with the hoard of people that would enjoy Pets or Seasons, even though I never played Sims 2 or Sims 1 so I wouldn’t know what to expect.
I also do think that vacations would be different from WA and go well with seasons. A vacation could be like a cruise ship, where you can walk around on the boat and do different stuff for a week, but it costs like 5,000 simoleons or something. Also, more tropical places for vacations?

Grant said they wanted to include weather in Late Night but felt it deserved it’s own Expansion Pack. in other words. Weather was planned for Late Night… and now we have an outdoor stuff Stuff Pack. If weather isn’t expansion 4 it will be number 5.

@Catiboo The sims 3 expansion packs cant be named after previous because they will be quilafied as fakes.
@Titan Sim well if they cant be named after previous EPs then they can just rename them. for example: Sims2:University=Sims3:College Life.
but anyways, they should really make a seasons and a university. me and my cousin were JUST talking about how we want the university EP for sims 3.
A lot of people are hoping for a university one. But I think they should make a school life one. Along with college and stuff, you should be able to send off your young kids to boarding schoolor something and that would be like their town. You could sned them to class (which could be like their work) and they could have their own dorm and everything. I think that would be cool.
they should make a sims 3 sports with like soccer and basket ball and stuff. 😀

I think it would be cool to have a weathe expansion pack. there could be tornadoes hurricanes blizzards volcanoes and of course thunder storms and all that other stuff in the sims2 seasons!
i really want beach front property back.they should make one pack that encompasses all the cool features from all the sims 2 ep’s beach front property, weather change, ……. not any particualr themes involved. i guess what i am saying is a “best of” compilation
The one coming out in May is Sims 3 Generations and there is also sims 3 Unleashed which has pets…. such as dogs, horses, cats, skunks,etc.. coming out in October… not sure what day.
They should introduce pets i lliked pets in the sims 2 exept this time instead of just cats and dogs:birds parrots bigger fishes hamsters guineu pigs alot of breeds of dogs and cats reptiles like snakes and lizzards pets people dont usually have rare ones anywayz dats my opinion.so byee.

I love the idea of m magic! I think something they should do is break up big expansions into smaller portions though. So… If they wanted to do seasons, they have one that is weather, one holiday, and one with extra vacation stuff. You make then prices like sps. They would make more on people like me, who would get then all. Which is weird to admit, but there you go 🙂 then you could magic with a creatures portion, a magic spells etc portion and maybe an sp version witha bunch of the furniture etc you would get in ep. For pets you could do three or four. Have normal pets, exotic pets, farm animals…lost the fourth.
Sorry, I like my idea. So people can gwt what they want.

I totally agree with number 13 or Dennis. A weather one with hurricanes, tornadoes, blizzards, heatwaves all different types of weather events, along with being able to move to a different neighbourhood. AND PETS! That would be worth the wait and the money!

theres a new sims 3 coming out the sims 3 unleashed in october it gives you all sorts of pets even horses.
they HAVE to make another making magic. That was by far the best expansion pack ive played. the idea of the magic town was ballin,, and casting spells was sweet 😉 Id be super bumed if they didnt make one. id by the sims 3 just to play it
Sad that so many want repeats of what we have already seen, sad that EA didn’t incorporate a lot of this stuff in the sims 3 original base game t begin with. At any rate, I want more in depth focus on holidays… egg hunts, gift giving, halloween trick or treating, a sea that is useful for more than just fishing…give me a boat, let me scuba dive or swim in it already…volleyball beach tournaments to make going to the beach actually interesting for a change…the list goes on and on… weather is an abslute must, it shouldnt be a separate expansion- just give it to us already EA , I mean come on, the open neighborhood is boring, give my sims a reason to go outside.

in the ep generations you are able to send your kids off to boarding school there is also prom i just love it lotz of things can happen at prom in the game

like u culd run it on ur own or something and a vacations ep would be sick like Hawaii or something and it would be kewl for sims to go swimming with dolphins and farms that would be kewl as well jus ideas of course
