Waaahh, waaahh, waaahh “Do it my way or hit the highway”

Gotta love emails like the one below from Chris Whithear.  Usually I tend to delete them and think nothing about them…but it does give me a chance to explain the sites status, something in which I need to do anyways.  So here’s the email I was greeted to when I woke up at 5 AM (still tired and not in the best of moods):

I gather you have given up on providing all the patches etc for Sims. Oh well it was nice while it lasted, bookmark is now deleted from my PC’s. No need to reply as i dont check this account.

Got to love the ‘you no longer provide what I want, bye and I don’t want to hear your side of the story‘ mentality.  If you’ve had the site bookmarked, chances are you are familiar with the news.  If you’ve been keeping up with the news you would have discovered I have posted about the latest Sims 3 Patches…and if you’ve read the comments you would have saw many links contributed by the community to download the said patches.  Sure, I didn’t include them in the main post, and yes, they’ve yet to appear on the patches page.  So if that’s what your complaining about – then I suppose I can apologize to those that miss out.

Now, about that fact – I’m behind on many things – adding the patches, missing out on a ton of programs to add to the pages, I have a backlog of affiliate requests.  No, I haven’t forgotten about getting thru these (and if you are one of the affiliates awaiting for confirmation, I’m sorry, I WILL get to you).  It’s just that I have put them on the backburner for now until I can get a few other important issues corrected with the site.  As I mentioned the past few months, we are in the middle of getting new servers.  Well, actually they are ready to go – we just haven’t been moved yet because we are not on the top of the priority list.  In order to bump up to the top, I had to have a reason to…luckily our server’s harddrive space was near max so I went ahead and maxed it out.  This means I cannot upload anything else to the site – nada – server is completely full.  Hopefully our host provider will notice that fact and move us to our new home.

Not only that, but once we do move I’m hoping for a whole new facelift and an overhaul on the site’s backend.  Of course, this can’t really take place until we’re moved on to our server, and since it is full I cannot get around to doing the backlog that I have.  So yeah…that’s where I am right now.  I do have everything written down ready to be done, just have to wait for the proper time to do it.
