I don’t use custom content for The Sims 3, but when I was sent a link for the following world, I had to check it out – had to. It’s simply too well done to pass up! I’m talking about The Kingdom of Niua Simoa, an island created by Kiwi_tea. It had to be good right…I mean it was created by one of Mod The Sims’ featured artist. Good isn’t enough to describe the world…no, it’s amazing!
Niua Simoa is a volcanic island, with one extinct volcano (Mount Totara), and one active (Mount Nikau). The island emerged out of the sea at some point less than 20,000 years ago, so it’s quite a young landmass. Evenso, a rich coral reef has formed around the island since it emerged, and sand bars have built up atop that reef, forming islands (motu) around the lagoon. There is great fishing in the shallow lagoon, with a fresh water source flowing down from lava formation hills. The main township is small, and there are very few large houses.
I moved my poor sm into a red unfurnished farmhouse and spent around half an hour touring around the island. Loved the scene up top near the Volcano, you can find a gnome waiting for you too 😛 I also loved the added effect with the various places around town that has a ‘magnifying lens’ icon which will zoom out for you to see the area you are playing in. Oh yeah, took my Sim to the waterfall area and spent a minute or two fishing. Didn’t come up with anything, but that’s probably due to the fact that I was fishing in some trees and I’m also a horrible fisherman in real life. There are many other areas to visit – it’s filled with jobs, has catacombs to explore, many lots to pick from…just outstanding. I’d have to say the best part is when its nighttime…The view of the island is very lovely.
I snapped some screens of my time spent with my Sim. If you are interested in this island, you can download it over at Mod The Sims. Fantastic job, Kiwi!
That’s the part i really like a CAW. the CAW users Community is so wounderful cause you can just explore a world created by a player. its like surfing a website in 3D.
