Holy smokes, the launch of The Sims 3 took off faster than Michael Phelps swimming to a bag of pot (guys, it’s a joke – don’t flame me :P) and EA has the tallies of how well the game performed. According to Tech Spot, it has been recorded that the game has sold 3.7 million copies worldwide as of June 30th. No doubt did it help EA gain $644 in sales overall (though they are still down). I wonder since we know know the amount from June, what do they have for the data on July? I’d love to see another 100 Million Copies sold this time around, but with TS3 taking home the prize 🙂
I hope that since they’ve managed to sell so much copies, they will be encouraged to make a fix to stop all the crashing and problems with the patches a lot of players are having. 🙁 I hate not being able to enjoy the game whilst others can.
Wish they would provide an SDK or source some of their programming codes out to the community so those with knowledge can fix them instead. Have to say it, but most of the time the community beats them to the punch – just wish they are able to solve all of the issues and not just bits and pieces – but I agree.
