Quirks board game – possible influence on Spore

Joystiq was digging around and managed to find a board game that comes very close to the idea of the creatures in Spore.

Calling itself Quirks, this board game allows you to place cards to form unique creators and players must continue modifying them to adapt to climate changes and other Quirks.  There is no doubt about it that Will loves board games as he stated that fact in many interviews.
