We’ve all heard of Playstation and Xbox, and more recently Steam trying to take a slice of the market with their “Steam Machines”. Today, on April 1st 2016, Electronic Arts has announced that they will be trying their luck in the console market with the Origin Box.
A brand new product, Origin Box is a games console that allows you to stream your Origin game titles to your TV screen. All you need is the Origin Box console, a controller, and a decent broadband connection. EA’s massive library of games including Dragon Age, The Sims, Mass Effect, Battlefield, and more will be available from day one on Origin Box, with full controller support.
Retailing at £149.99 in the UK, and $209.99 in the USA, Origin Box looks like a promising start for EA to join the growing console market.
BeyondSims has received an exclusive image from EA showing what the Origin Box console looks like, as you can see below.
Isn’t it great how the console is shaped like the Origin logo? We love it and can’t wait to see it when it releases on the 1st April 2017.
Incase you haven’t already guessed, this was a joke and Origin Box doesn’t exist. April Fools!
