Fifteen years later and a rich history behind the site, BeyondSims is known for delivering the latest news, exclusive previews, video content, reviews, tutorials and more for The Sims, SimCity and other various titles.
To celebrate our 15 year anniversary we will be holding a variety of giveaways throughout the week! Our first giveaway gives you the chance to win a plumbob headband!

My favorite Sims game will be Sims 2 Freetime. The hobbies that came withe game made it so fun to have for my Sims 2 OFB. <3
My favourite version of the game would be “The Sims 2” – it expanded on so much from the original game on so many levels. From the depth of the personalities you could give to your sims to what colour you want your toilet. The stories of each & every premade in every town the sequal brought out, the stories made me feel more connected to the sims & just made me love them more. In having being played both versions of the game (PC & PS2) I feel a lot of passion went into the game, if you was to ask who is (or are) my favourite premade sim/s chances they will come from The Sims 2. I could go into specifics which EP / SP / type of game I most enjoy..but realistically..I just find the whole of The Sims 2 completly beautiful & magnificent, I feel that future versions of The Sims could be like The Sims 2 but they will never be The Sims 2.

Omg! This is awesome 😀 my Favourite sims game of all time is open for business,so much nostalgia for that game! Which is why I was so pumped when get to work came out and they brought running a Retail store back! 😀

My favourite Sims game has to be The Sims 4 (it’s actually replaced my love for The Sims 2!!). Please, let me explain before you send the Grim Reaper after me!!
I love how much closer I feel to my Sims in The Sims 4, and how free it feels. I loved all of the stuff (EPs and SPs for TS2, OFB is my all-time favourite EP though) and it all meshed well together. But one thing that always annoyed me was that there was no concept of time in TS2 outside of your current household. I loved creating businesses in OFB and having my Sims get up early, get them selves prepared for the day and then head into work for a 9-5 shift. But when I returned home, it was like the day never happened and my Sims needs had tanked.
In TS4, time flows all around you. You send your Sim across the road for a few hours and that time is actually used up. You see Sims aging and growing around you along with your Sims. New families move in while old families move out. The world and game just feels so much more alive.
While TS4 is still in its early days, I have no doubt in my mind that this will be THE best Sims game EVER! 😀
My favorite is The Sims 3.. Open world and cars you could actually follow… I especially loved the world adventures ep. My sims practically lived in Shang Simla.

My favorite Sims game is the Sims 3 Supernatural…do I have to explain why? Zombies, Fairies, Werewolves, Witches and of course my favorite Vampires!
My favorite is Island Paradise. Living on the west coast at the time I didn’t get to visit the beach very often so it was so exciting to live my aspirations through the game!
My favorite game from The Sims would have to be The Sims 4. Besides the lack of content right now compared to past games, I like the smoothness and multitasking the game offers. To be more specific, I really enjoy Outdoor Retreat!
The sims 1 – I was about 9 years old and from the first moment I played it, I was absorbed. Most fun I have had with my sisters ever.
My favorite Sims game has to be The Sims 2. I like The Sims 4 but it can never replace my love for TS2. The features were so wonderfully developed and were funny to see at the same time. Maybe one day TS4 will be great enough to replace TS2 😉 Good luck to all!
Ugh.. hard question. I’ll have to go with The Sims 3, and if it’s about particular expansion pack – Seasons. I loved the open world when we got the game back in 2009, and I would just scroll around the world and look at all the areas and be amazed by how new that feeling was. I’d always visit my neighbors every other day, go shopping.

Congrats on 15 years, that’s so cool. My favourite Sims game is The Sims 4. I have been playing Sims since The Sims 2 was out for a few years and I think that The Sims 4 is totaly the best. I really like the graphics and emotions and I’m in love with active carrers from Get To Work. So, yeah, for me The Sims 4 is just the best…

The sims 2 apartment life, my favorite sims ep of all times.
My favourite game is and was House Party. It was the first game that made me fall in love with the series.
My Grandma got me it as a present, but forgot to buy The Sims. I couldn’t load it but I wasn’t that bothered as she used to spoil me with art supplies, books, games, etc. She passed away a month or two later. It was a week after my 8th birthday.
Shortly after her funeral, I went through all my things from her and I found House Party. I remember asking my sister to help me and that night I loaded up The Sims (with House Party) and was transported to an alternate universe. The first family I made was me and my Grandma.
I still have the case on my shelf.
My favorite game is The Sims 2 because it has the most fun expansion packs.
MY favourite game is Sims 1 Superstar to this day 🙂 I prefer sims 2 as base game but the sims 1 superstar was so advanced for its day, we had active career lots like sims 4 get to work, we had singer booths, career advancing tasks, we could be supermodels and go catwalking, we could be in tv shows and participate on photo shoots, we had spas, etc, was just amazing as a full EP! I always loved Sims 2 Castaway on Playstation 2, I love that game. Even if it did take me forever to complete, I still play it once every so often now.

I always love the Pets EP whether it’s for 1, 2, or 3! Pets for Sims 1 was released when I was in 5th grade, and I remembered waiting for it to come that I asked the software store each weekend whether it’s available or not (this was the era when internet in my country was really scarce, and imported softwares can come as late as 2-3 months). I was really happy when I got it and wouldn’t stop playing over the weekend. Can’t wait for Pets to make their way in Sims 4!
I love the sims4, the graphics are so clear and it loads up so far, also the game play is great, I love the rewards you can get with the careers, and look forward to adding more packs in the future 😀 <3

Wow! Major congrats on 15 years, how brilliant! My favourite Sims game has to be The Sims On Holiday! I remember making a family and using the rosebud cheat to send them off on an endless vacation. It was so fun taking them to the beach resort and have them play the games to collect tickets and try and win all the prizes! Plus, the shark mascot was so cute!
My all time favourite game is the sims 3, although ive played them all and own them, sims 3 has so far been the best. from seasons, to late night to toddlers! just a shame i cant currently play it so have been on the sims 4. Best game i have ever played, its highly addictive and cant wait to see what is bought out next!!
Sims 1 Makin’ Magic is by far the best expansion!! I loved that box with all the dress up costumes in them. But i was only young while playing sims 1 and my sims always died…
I love sims 2 and 3 the most out of the base games though
This the original Sims one game in my very favourite for a couple of reasons. Reason number one: It was an amazing game for it’s time, it changed how I viewed computer games. Which is to say it made games accessible to a young girl who hadn’t previously had much interest in computers.
Reason number two: I didn’t own my own copy of this game for years. The copy I had was originally my older brother’s game. It came on a cd and he would never let me play with it. When he was out – like any good little sister – I would sneak into his room play with the Roomies (my favourite household) and then leave without saving. Later he grew bored of the game and let me have it, but first he had to teach me how to play it, and I had to pretened I didn’t know how. It brings back good memories 🙂
I absolutely love the seasons expansion pack for sims 2 or 3.
The concept of seasons and weather just made it more realistic and honestly more fun to play.
I practically bawled my eyes out when I lost my sims 2 seasons expansion pack, thats how much I loved it. (Luckily, I managed to buy a replacement copy last year.)
–Oh! And if we’re talking about sims 1, 2, 3 or 4 without expansions.. I’d have to say sims 3 honestly.
I’ve got to give credit to the original Sims because it was the first Sims game I played, but I absolutely love Sims 3 with Pets or Late Night. I have had so many hours of fun thanks to that game, and wouldn’t have made it through 7 years of depression without it. Thank you so much!
I have always loved the sims 2 simpleness and felt that the sims 3 got a bit too complex. I love how sims 4 is an inbetween of sims 2 and sims 3! Definetly have to say that my favourite game is The sims 2 over all though! Especially the The sims 2 apartment life!
My favourite Sims game was by far Sims 3 with many expansion packs to be creative with I could make the most wired but perfect family ? living in one of many worlds in one of many houses.
I think I would have to say that Sims 2 is my favourite. I loved the original Sims but when Sims 2 came along I could stay up into the early hours of the morning playing. It was also the game that introduced me to creating my own content with the use of Bodyshop. I could spend so many hours perfecting the seam on a pair of socks or adding subtle texture detailing to an item of CC.
The homour in the game seemed to fit perfectly and the balance between the everyday and the bizarre was right on point.
I can still be heard to this day occassionally humming the Sims 2 theme tune to myself.
Sims 3 is definitely my favourite. I love the abilty to build quite freely even though I would to get to grisp with Sims 4 building. I love Sims 3 create a sim and the gameplay is great fun. Then again all the sims games are great.
I love Sims 3 Generations! It gave children and teenagers so many interaction and things to do.
The sims 3 all round for game and expansions but I did love Sims 2 University and Open for business.

the sims 3 game has to be one of the best sims so far with all of the different expansions packs to buy and add to your game. But the sims 4 is turning into another good game with expansions packs and stuff packs coming each month carnt wait for the new one in November ! 🙂
sims 4 for giving me such creative freedom in such high quality graphics! i can make my sims look exactly like the person i’m trying to recreate, such as celebrities and my friends, and the houses/lots that i build are super close to the real places too!
i’m trying to create some sims 4 machinima at the minute, which is really fun because of how easy it is to make full families (especially with the genetics mixer) and have all the expansion packs to date!! im super excited for the upcoming expansion packs too. i cosplay a sims character, dil howlter from dan and phil games, so it would be super amazing to get an offical plumbob haha
my favorite sims game is the urbz for xbox, gamecube and ps2! i like how the style and the setting of the game are so different from the classical the sims-experience. my 2nd favorite game is the sims 2 for pc and mac. in my eyes, it was the best desktop-sims-game that ever came out!
The Sims 2 is my all-time favourite Sims game! it is quite unique, and the mechanics which hasn’t departed too much from the original Sims made The Sims 2 my all-time favourite. Will Wright really made The Sims 2 a huge improvement with its creative and innovative expansion packs, much like the original Sims. It’s a shame that he left not long after that though, which is a shame. maybe if he didn’t quit or Maxis wasn’t bought by EA, The Sims 3 could be a much better sequel to The Sims 2. All-in-all, in my opinion, The Sims 2 is the most open, innovative, creativity-unbounded The Sims game to date
My favourite aims game is The Sims 4 because it’s really fun to create a sim and it’s really quick for the sim the have a baby it takes 3 days in the game. I really like the jobs they can join when they are a teenager and one of my teenager is a babysitter. In the sims 4 u can also make two families and make them meet and become friends, me and my daughter both have an family and both families are best friends.
The Sims Medieval because the art-work is gorgeous and all of the buildings have so much detail. The clothes look like they’ve come straight out of the 1100s and I love how you get quests – that way you don’t get bored and you always have something to work towards!
Sims 1 Hot Date. It was the most original game on the market at that period of time. I loved Mrs Crumplebottom! I’m 20 now and been playing the sims since TS1. Still TS1 Hot Date is my favourite, going on dates, buying things, going to the “Tacky” diner. Loved it!
Huge Sims 4 fan! I think Get To Work is just awesome. And I can’t wait for Get Together!

I love sims 4 the graphics are amazing and having the smaller neighborhoods works as your computer can handle it better and the play much more smoother than in sims 3. All games have issues at 1st and Maxis is always working to improve game play. I’m excited for the future of Sims 4 and just what is going to come next.
My ultimate favorite sims would have to be The Sims 4, I really enjoy the development from the Sims 1 all the way through till now. At first it was a new thing, everyone was excited and through out the years it’s got better and better! I’m looking forward to the upcoming expansions and game packs!

I have had all of the games pretty much. The Sims 3 World Adventures is my favourite because I can go to the countries with many families and do all the quests and never get bored! I really like the fact you can eventually get a holiday home as it gives you something to work towards too.
My favourite aspects of Sims is being able to build the house and create unique Sims, so it is fun having new games and being able to do so over again 🙂
I’d said that before, but I will repeat: The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection. I love every EP and SP from The Sims 2 and they bring me some good memories. Like the times, when I was doing movies or when I was just playing when it rains outside. I still play Sims 2 of course 🙂

The sims Makin’ Magic. Its the first expansion pack that I really fell in love with. It was waay before it’s time. It had dragons in it before dragons became popular! It was a place where my witching fantasies came true. It was so much more than happy potter could have given me at the time. I really do miss playing that expansion pack.
The Sims 2 is my all time favorite because that’s when I became obsessed and now still have all the Expansion Packs but I really The Sims 3: Ambitions due to the fact I can give my Sim tattoos ^-^
All the Sims games are my favourites in one way or another. I’d played all the Xbox versions of the Sims and loved every one of them. My favourite of them is
The Sims Bustin’ Out. I didn’t begin playing the PC versions until Sims 2 and I think that it still holds a lot of great memories for me. I still remember the names of the first two sims I created and I played them until the end. I was sad for three days after they died..lol…but I enjoyed every one of the expansion & stuff packs with it. I’ve since went on to play the Sims 3 & 4 and I still get a great deal of enjoyment from them. The development of the Sims since the beginning has been awesome and it always seems to beat all expectations as it continues. I still get excited when I hear of a new expansion or stuff pack coming out. Long live The Sims and all who play with them! (^_^)

I love the sims 3 pets because I do not have any pets in my home and I love to play on this expansion because I can live with pets on the game and train and play with them! there is many different breeds of dogs, cats and horses so you never get bored of the animals! lovely country vibe to it too! best expansion pack ever!

I love the Sims 3 World Adventures, I never really go on holiday and I’ve never been abroad or on a plane at all so being able to go on holiday as my sim was really exciting! 🙂 Sadly my computer broke a while ago so Ive been stealing my boyfriends laptop to play on the Sims :3 he doesnt mind too much :’)
I loved The Sims University! It was so fun to build and create a house for loads of different people. Makin Magic and Sims Pets were also class! They would be fun on The Sims 4!
The Sims 3 pets was my favourite. The open world of The Sims 3 made it so much better than previous pet expansions. Loved being able to take the dog for a walk or go for a ride on the horse. Wonderful.

My favourite Sims game is Sims 3 seasons I think it is and amazing add on to the game I also love the furniture sets ? I live the festival aspect and the different holidays ? My favourite thing about seasons is holiday house lights I think they are the cutest thing and I use them all the time in winter ?
The Sims Urbz on PS2 was my fave!, I loved it, it’s so different to the other games!
