In my Sims 4 Preview I wrote that firefighters are no longer in-game, however I have been informed that there is a way to prevent them.
The Sims 4 has a fire prevention unit which you can purchase that will prevent the fires. So while there are no firefighters, you may not have to risk your Sims’ lives… unless you want to, of course 😉
A huge thank you to Simlicious for the information and screenshot.
@beyondsims @SimGuruGraham @SimGuruSarah @SimGuruLyndsay there is a fire prevention unit you can mount outside 🙂

I was wondering what that actually was.
Yes! 😀
is this a joke?
That is ridiculously stupid.
Wow I’d checked out from the sims for a while and this is what I come back to. How is this even remotely acceptable from a multimillion dollar game-studio’s top franchise? I suddenly remember why I took a break. 🙁 Sims 1 and 2 were way better from what I can tell. I’m going back to playing other, better games, that aren’t by EA. And consequently will not be trying to sell me the “pools, firefighters and toddlers” DLC pack in 4 months for simpoints or whatever they are going to be calling it this time. Good luck remaining loyal simmers, I feel your pain. It’s “hasta la vista, baby.” for me though, because I honestly can’t watch my favorite game be so badly abused anymore. .·´¯`(>▂<)´¯`·.
hello I’ve been playing sims since sims 1 and noticed that there are things that are dropped through sims generations, and i hope they have some back such as swimming pools, toddlers, basement, garages, swimming and vehicles and what I hope to be in future expansions like island paradise, pets, university, supernatural, seasons and world travel and resorts thanks.
if you had bothered to do any research before posting, you would have found that pools/swimming have been back for around three or so months, and a rather large expansion (equivalent to sims 3: ambitions and sims 2: open for business) is due out in april. all of the expansions you mentioned are horrid and do nothing more than waste time and space.
not only that, but with how quick and easy it is to get around the towns now, vehicles of any sort are pointless and a waste. if you want to whine about anything having been cut out, whine about laundry.
