When The Sims 4 was announced in May 2013, the press release stated that it was in development for PC and Mac for release in 2014. EA have only spoke about a PC version of the game since that announcement.
After looking at the EA Extranet website, where EA post their press releases, I have noticed that The Sims 4 on PC was listed for a 2014 release while The Sims 4 on Mac was listed as ‘TBA’. This suggests that The Sims 4 on Mac will be released after the PC version.
This is good and bad news for Mac users. The Mac version of The Sims 3 is not a native port and suffers from problems and mediocre performance. The fact that the Mac version could be released after the PC version suggests that we will get a native port of the game – optimised for the Mac OS X operating system like SimCity was.
I am excited to learn more about this as The Sims 3’s performance is not up to the same standards as the Windows version. SimCity’s Mac release proves that a native port makes all the difference in performance.
Please bear in mind that this has not been confirmed by EA and can change. I am simply reporting my findings 🙂
How many spelling and grammar errors can there be in ONE story? Turns out…a LOT. Check yo spelling before posting BeyondSims!
@Phillip
I appreciate any feedback I receive on my articles. Can you please point out any spelling and grammar errors so that they can be corrected?
Thanks,
Dan
Philip Kessler, when a person wants to teach grammar to another person should use an appropriate writing. In this case you writing is using incorrect forms capitalizing words and also you are destroying the valuable pronoun you. A real person who wants to teach can correct the complete article in order to show the spelling errors. I love the articles and the information showed here has an important value for me.
Phillip,
Why get thread off topic? What difference does it make if he misspelled? As long as you can read it.
Yes I know the should have been before thread my smartphone caused the error.
