A new world is coming to The Sims 3 Store on the 26th September, EA announced today. The Sims 3 Midnight Hollow will allow you to move into a world “where the sun doesn’t shine” and create your own business!
The standard version will be 2,450 SimPoints and the Gold Version will be 4,350 SimPoints.
Find your light in the dark splendor of Midnight Hollow
Explore a landscape where all you’re really required to be is yourself. Under the subdued sky of Midnight Hollow, it’s the residents who really shine. Eccentric townsfolk have taken a century-old Victorian town and made it a place they can call home. What life will you make in a town where creativity and individuality are at the center of it all?
Will you be the owner of an art gallery bringing culture to the town? Or run a vintage furniture boutique to add class to Sims homes? Or a car showroom showing Sims life in the fast lane? The business opportunities are endless!
Check out the trailer below!
Thanks to Avenida Sims for some of the information!
omg omg omg omg omg!!!
I really don’t understand this! This world should have been part of the SUPERNATURAL expansion! Moonlight Falls is really lacking in comparison! I’m pissed.
Sadly, I don’t think the store items will be deeply thought out like the Sims 2 Open For Business EP. Still, at least we can sort-of have stores now. I’m guessing no restaurants, though?
The store thing sounds good. Now, my diver can sell her fish in a proper place. But what a shame that we can’t butcher those stupid cows and chickens and sell fresh meat.
I think they should have fixed Island Paradise problems first, then worry about a new world that should have been the one for Supernatural , to begin with. Seriously, do they not test these games, do they not think an EP thru, do they not listen to the people who buy their games???? Hopefully this one is problem ~free for those who buy it!

The Expansion packs are developed by two different teams (EA Redwood and EA Salt Lake) and then the Store content is developed and controlled by a group that only deals with store content. A team that is “fixing” a previous expansion pack is not the same team as delivering store content. One did not replace or take away from the other. Also the store team that designed Midnight Hollow is not the same team that designed “Supernatural”. Look at it in that case of those two towns (Midnight Hollow and Moonlight Falls) as two different artists (a year apart) working on the same subject: A spooky town. Some things might be the same but each group of artists will bring different things to the table. But in the end they are not the same artists.
Don’t get too excited about selling those fish. The world’s designer has announced that your store can only sell items from buy or build mode. No food, collectables, or craftables will be able to be sold. So paintings, sculptures, elixirs and the like will all still need to be sold at the consignment store.
