Honestly, I didn’t see what info this was suppose to give. My first thought about the guy eating lobster would be open restaurant rabbitholes. Maybe the painting one shows that sims will have better experessions? The bar one and the guy with the punching bag, I have no idea.
All the hints so far just suggest that The Sims 4 will be more of the same! Sims eating, socialising, exercising… these are ALL in The SIms 1, 2 & 3!!
I have a horrible feeling that The Sims 4 is going to just a small bit different to The Sims 3. A subtle evolution rather than a revolution. Also that we will have to start right back at the beginning…. again (3rd time and counting!) and it is getting tedious now!
To really make an impact The Sims 4 has got to really hit the ground running… it needs:
Improved Graphics.
Even more open Worlds (with open travel between Worlds).
More features in the Base Game, including basic – weather, seasons, pets, etc.
Progressive ageing (Sims slowly grow taller and age).
More Social interactions across all ages.
More objects, clothes, hair, etc. than what came in The Sims 3 Base Game.
NO rabbit holes at all.
Less bugs.
I just think this means that there will be open restaurants, hang outs like bars! That emotions can lead to activities such as Boxing – aftermath of a sim experiencing rage?? And the painting picture just makes me think that SIms will be more unique and have their own taste, since majority of sims look at a picture and go hmmm *clap* this will show that they are not all the same and that traits have a REAL impact on the character! 🙂
You’re asking for too much. It only has to be slightly better than the Sims 3 to make it worth it for people to buy it. Also it probably isn’t going to be possible for them to include all those things in the base game. First off, making just one world for the Sims 3 can be very tedious, and being able to travel between all the different worlds freely could easily lead to save game files that are way too large.
Also don’t even get me started on why its a bad idea for you to insist they include pets and weather in the base game.
As for getting rid of the rabbit holes, some buildings like the stadium like it or not will most likely still have to be rabbit holes, because making them full fledged venues would be too impractical, unless the average computer gets much faster.
Hint Hint Hint.the old Sims is coming back note it’s humans and not Sims go look at the original Sims TV ads. maybe i am wrong but the old Sims is coming back . and Maxis ☺
It sounds like you are advocating spending $40+ for expansions that we’ve already seen before and won’t be much different from the previous games. It’s not impossible to add weather to the base game, because it was done on The Sims 3 console for the Wii.
The only reason EA won’t add pets or weather to the base game is because they are after our wallets.
These are adults, right?

Evan,
I wouldn’t read too much into it. EA might just be trying to hint at how much more expressive the new sims will be.
Yeah, you’ve got a point.it would have been better if they just told us xD

The hint is obvious: Sims are reacting better with the environment. The emotions are also shown, things that were lost in TS3.
