The Sims, the #1 PC game franchise, has become 13 years old! The game was originally expected to only sell a few hundred thousand copies, which ended up becoming the franchise we all know and love today.
I originally found The Sims in my dad’s collection of games, and installed it (also found SimCity 3000 too). Since then I was hooked on the franchise and have followed it through from The Sims to The Sims 2 and The Sims 3 – plus it’s many spin-offs such as The Sims Medieval, The Sims Online and MySims.
The Sims franchise is still growing as people discover the franchise everyday, and I can’t wait to see what EA and Maxis have in-store for us over the next year.

Hurray The Sims is a teenager!
I love the graphics, even to this day!
I really miss generation 1! That was my start to the franchise. I used to make rooms with lots of “trap” doors ala the Winchester Mansion 🙂
Happy Birthday Sims! Been watching you grow since the beginning!
Still love the first Sims. Simple, quaint, and still addictive.
I love TS1.
Still playing the first game. 🙂
