On December 31st 2012 a charity event called Simfest will kick off for 12 hours into the new year! This special event has been created by Anidnawind, and it’s a gaming marathon where all participating members will play The Sims 3 and The Sims 2. Throughout the event, they will be accepting donations for an organisation called Child’s Play.
Child’s Play is a charity which gives games and toys to children in hospitals all around the world.
Anidnawind is hoping to reach a goal of $300 from the event. All donations are processed through a system called Chipln, which is completely safe and 100% of the donations will be going to Child’s Play when you donate. On top of all of this, once you donate you’ll be entered for a chance to be randomly selected for a stuff pack or a SimPoint bundle. An expansion pack for The Sims 3 will also be auctioned off later in the evening.
This is going to be great fun, and it’s a unique event for a great cause. I’m sure with the power of our large community, we can help Anidnawind raise the $300 goal (and more if we all donate a small amount).
We’ll be posting reminders closer to the time, and on the date we’ll put up links to the event – what a great way to celebrate the new year, 12 hours of Simming steamed live for charity!
