Greetings readers!  I’ve enlisted the help of Charlie aka. ‘MapleSim’ to keep a constant flow of news updates when I and other staff members are not available.  Please read his introduction below and give him a nice, warm welcome to the website!

Hi everyone! I was asked if I could introduce myself, so here goes! I’m MapleSim and I’m a new writer here at SimPrograms (cheers and applause)!
The Sims was actually the very first PC franchise that I ever played, way back on the brick of a historical monument that was my family’s first computer. With no internet to speak of, I found myself longing to expand past my safety-net of console gaming. The Sims Deluxe Edition was that start, and I spent hours upon hours building and tweaking massive mansions and crafting stories all on my own, and hoping that I wasn’t entirely strange for doing so.
Nowadays I probably spend more than a healthy amount of time glued to my computer reading every forum, caption, and comment that I can because it reminds me so much of when I was playing at the very beginning wanting and hoping that somewhere out in the world there were others like me. The Simming Community has this incredible ability to draw me back in away from things that I should be doing… ahem…schoolwork.. I wouldn’t have it any other way! Cheers!
