Sim City looks really cool but I won’t be getting it because of the whole save online/Net connection required thing.
Here in the UK, most of us have very flaky Internet connections, many don’t have the Net at home at all. Out of the hundreds of people we know only about 6 have home internet, the rest just use their works Net! They use their mobile phones for texting and phoning and work computers for emails and surfing.
When you go away from home WiFi in hotels, etc. is way to expensive to use for games!
EA are going to loose a lot of sales over this in the UK!
UtterlyUnzipped – I totally agree. I live forty minutes out of central London and my internet at home is shoddy. I’m tired of all these different game developers totally disregarding those who don’t have Silicon Valley grade internet and forcing us to have constantly active, internet-intensive gamemodes.

I will not buy Simcity for the same reason.
