It appears The Sims 3 Forum member Lilybob has discovered inside the tiny room in the volcano, what looks be a bear skin rug, box of chocolates, a heart shaped bed, and a picnic basket. The game already has a picnic basket available, but perhaps this will be a new basket with new functionality? No one knows yet if any or all of these items will be on The Sims 3 Store, but it could very well be a hint of upcoming items.

A while back a certain survey site listed the 4 items (amongst others) pictured above. A previous post by SimsVIP shows said survey.
Looks like the theme is “LOVE”.
maybe a The Sims 1 – Hot Date return?
in The Sims 1 – Hot Date there was:
– NPC: Claire the Bear
– Give gift interaction: Chocolate Box
– Heart shaped (Bed or Hot tub). i can’t remember.
maybe it’s a hint.
and the “Picnic” interaction was introduced in the The Sims 1 – Hot Date.

Interesting! isn’t Late Night almost similar to Hot Date and NightLife? Going out having a good time, etc? At least, it is to me. But, maybe more romantic theme. We’ll see:)
I think this is more a shout out to Shark/Catloverplayer than anything. The bear skin rug and the box of chocolates are the only ones that make sense as premium content. A separate picnic basket with different properties seems pointless to me and HELS already added a heart bed. The store survey did mention all of those objects but I only see half of them being worth anything.

You never know. It could be a throwback set for Hot Date like the one with items from the Bon Voyage world Three Lakes. That and those surveys have been pretty accurate thus far. From them we learned that aliens would be the creature in Seasons. I just hope that these would be released separately and not attached to a lot or another world.
If the easter egg is about an EP. So, i think it will be something between sims2 nightlife and sims1 hotdate. I mean, restaurants (not rabbit holes), gift/candy/ice cream/hot dog shops (from hotdate), disco, bowling, casino, better dates, Mrs. Crumblebottom, Gypsy Matchmaker. Things that still need to be added in the Sims 3 and are missing from LateNight and Showtime.
I don’t think there will be no dating ep. Out of all the eps in the survey I saw dating wasn’t one of them.
This is more likely a new set with the store maybe like the magic set that gave us 3 premium objects or maybe it will be attached to a world.and or a new venue.
I am hoping it comes attach atleast with a new romantic themed venue. I’d like to see a store made honeymoon suite.
The picnic basket is romantic meaning it would work great in Sunlit Tides. And speaking of ST a lot of the empty lots are called lovely another hint no doubt.
Oh I like the heart bed because it’s heart shaped. The one from Heils is just heart shaped at the base of the bed not the whole bed.
According to the survey this heart bed lets you choose to try for a boy or girl.
Like the Sauna.
