Maxis site was down earlier today, and look what has replaced the redirection to The Sims page… their own “website”, more of a splash page, but hey – glad to see them back.

That’s pretty sweet. But then does that mean the Maxis logo will return in future EPs? I think Graham said something about that but I don’t remember if he confirmed or denied it.
I think he hinted at it.
Also, I don’t expect anything like that until The Sims 4.
It’s just good PR. I’m not sure why everyone keeps getting excited over it. It’s just a name. They just heard the community repeatedly saying how they miss Maxis so they put more emphasis on the Maxis name and huzzah everyone rejoices. ?! They are still part of the big EA engine the same as they have been for the last few years.
It may not change anything, but I am glad to see the name coming back all the same. Now they need to put the Maxis logo back on all of The Sims websites.
