Great, I guess now it really is official.. we won’t get seasons till next spring, or maybe not at all.. 🙁
I don’t wanna be one of those people who always complain, but I’m just sick of waiting for seasons and university, those were my favorite expacks in TS2.
Oh well, at least magic lovers will get what they wanted.
Cant wait to hear more about it. I was hoping for Seasons but guess i have to wait a little longer.

Even through so far everything seems to be pointing to something like this, I’m not completely sure. I think we should find out for sure sometime soon after Diesel Stuff is released. I have my fingers crossed that it will actually be a magic expansion pack with werewolves, fairies and Zombies. I also hope it has a magic shop venue.
I can see it being announced either this week or next

The good news, the rumors about a EP on magic were truth. The other good news, EA respect their ”pattern” on 1 EP, 1 SP with a average of 3 month between them. (July 10th + 3 month = near September 7th). So it’s a news, but no a suprising news. If the rumors about the features of the EP are truth, I will be happy.
It’s not impossible to see the season pack (whatever the name) for around the beginning of February. In the middle of the winter, it’s a good timing if we consider that the snow is a major feature of a season pack. It’s only pure speculation, but I think that all fit together.
Unless there’s weather, I’ll pass on this one. I don’t like any fantasy type stuff in my game and I’ve always ignored the “creatures” in every game since TS2, but it seems this EP will only be about fantasy type stuff, so I won’t be able to just ignore it if I have it installed. Otherwise, I tend to get all the packs just for completion’s sake.
I hope it has more dark feel you know like Makin’ Magic . Creepy music and environment would be awesome! I suspect aliens, werewolves and witches will return!

Well I remember an EA employee saying in an interview that we will get an expansion pack that has something to do with life but in a different way or something. That it had a dark background with light letters. Maybe he hinted about THIS one and not about Showtime.
I really hoped for seasons, but the name : Supernatural (Super Natural) Can also contain weather, cause that’s also a natural thing. I think we will get the annoucnement very very very soon. I don’t think EA informs retailers about upcoming titles in detail if they are not planning to announce it soon..
We will see.
If they combined both that would be a huge marketing strategy because the ones that would pass this EP (me) would be “forced” to buy it haha
Ohgod yeah that fame fail thing from Late Night also failed very hard.
They’re planning on releasing Seasons by Christmas time, for everyone that’s wondering.
Yes, there should be “on/off”-buttons for the following stuff ingame:
– wild pets
– rumous about occult creatures + sims peeing themselves etc and the stupid celebrity star system
– vampire spawning
– all other supernatural things _individually_
– adjustable curfew, with on/off or adjustable times
etc
That is VERY needed, by all players, no matter if they’re into supernatural or realistic stuff. It’s needed since the game should be customizable, and to swedes for example it’s absurd to have any kind of curfew for innocent children going out fishing, and the “witch hunt” for occult creatures in the rumor system is pure “racism”. We should get to control how it’s gonna’ be in our own games.
And not to forget the whole memory feature! That would speed up soooo many people’s games!
There must be a way to turn the whole generation of memories off. Not only the messages. The power/space/memory/effort from the computer to deal with say 20 strangers of which several are occult meeting at a party is just enormously annoying and everyone’s games lag no matter what computer one have because they’re all seeing/meeting celebritites7vampires/new people and for no good.
On/off-buttons, Please EA.
I think it’s only a good thing that they FINALLY do an all supernatural stuff expansion =D and not put in like those addons for meals on the side that are just poorly made and not worth having 😀 and also a tiny chance the realistic maniacs could not see any interest in the pack whatsoever so it’s no extra complaining about vampire invasions going ^100 with the new “creatures”, unless they make it with on/off-buttons =)
If EA are planning on using this name for their expansion pack, lets hope they have permission to use it first. Dont forget there is a tv show called Supernatural! If they havent got permission, EA will be in hot water from the producers of the Supernatural show

Doubt it. I believe the only Sim products are SimCity and SimCity Social.. I cant remember where I read that. Think, they want people to get Katy Perry and Diesel Stuff, id expect it around July.
Maybe we’re all jumping to conclusions? How about instead of it meaning “supernatural”, as in, magic and crap, it’s actually a way of saying “super natural?” And it would be a good way of throwing people of the scent in regards to rumours.
I know it’s a pretty wild idea, but… just saying. 🙂
Creature as in occult? Werewolves and Witches/Warlocks. Zombies maybe, depends if it’s a potion side-effect as it was in one of The Sims Expansions. Fairies might be a NPC Creature, like Bigfoot in Bon Voyage. We’ll have to wait and see.
Im happy with the theme but they really need to add some kind of ‘opt out’ for the people who only want to use the creatures by choice. I have this frightening vision of Subset Valley overrun with Vampires/imaginary friends/celebs/unicorns/fairies/werewolves/zombies/witches
Lol I can’t believe the seasons obsessed actually think EA is going to merge the two EPs. This is EA we are discussing, they will never pass up a chance to milk two seperate EPs.

The code I have seen from the patch makes it very clear that playable Sims can become Witches, Werewolves and Faeries. Zombies are just an effect.
It looked like there were two new careers – a real “Psychic” and a conman “Psychic”.
A new venue?! Hmm…I’m guessing just a new rabbit hole but who knows! I guess it wouldn’t surprise me that they give us a cool new building you can actually use but charge 20 bucks for it. Wonder what it could be!

Hm, well the idea sounds just AWSOME! lol, given given my name, though, I have to pose the question: How do you* think the werewolves will be like (and look like) this time around, if there are any?
I, personally, hope they’re better. don’t get me wrong, the sims 2 werewolves were ok…but that’s just it, they were OK. They need to be awesome! Not just lumbering hairy people, yuck, i had to try downloading many different mods to make them look better, and even that didn’t help. Also, fairies sound pretty cool, i wonder what they’ll be able to do! and boy have i been waiting for witches! hope they have better, cooler looking wands and brooms though, like in HP, lol ^^ Zombies are intriguing too, what will they feast off of? will they really make an action to eat other sims? heh, just wondering. >:D

Mmh, no seasons? Well I imagine seasons would make the game collapse, which already is very unstable as it is.
OMG I’M SO HAPPY!!! XD This is the EP I’ve been WAITING for~~~! I hope they bring back old favorites from Makin Magic and Apartment Life, as well as new and improved magical things! (The More Magic stuff from the Store was a real let-down)
