More Possible Expansion Options in Another Survey?
So user pcd1love2u has also done a survey and got different results than in the previous survey post. Would be nice if the 3rd one came true. A real vacation for our Sims would be freakin’ awesome!

Ok if there is something EA most of the time does is make all the things from any survey happen.
Im gonna go with Magic and Season not being the last ones and we get University and Vacations too.
It would make Sims 3 the most complete of the games, though we got too many crappy EPs already. Generations should’ve never happened and Late Night & Showtimes should’ve been together. Plus Ambisions should’ve had included Open for Business. Way too many light content EPs.
I want them all… But if I had to pick I’d want University again one of the few things Sims 2 did wrong (school took waayy to long) My only question is where would you put the campuses? Would they have to be a subhood??
I took both the seasons survey and ‘this’ survey. My choices in expansions were different than the above ones though. I didn’t take screenshots but I did copy text.

No more working for the Man! Now your Sims can live off the land and even make a little extra cash with some hard work and perseverance. Your Sims can enter high society, get invited to A-list parties, maybe go into politics. Want a lower-profile? Sims can become philanthropists, generous community leaders or inspiring role models. Or maybe they’ll just have a whole lot of self-indulgent, irresponsible fun. Will you start up a videogame company? Fund and run a soup kitchen? However you want to spend their fortunes, your Sims get to live the ultimate high life.

I just took this and the other ones. I like all the ideas except for the one about reality shows. I gave that one a big thumbs down. I don’t want the things I dislike the most about our society in my game.

If the expansions had all contained this much content from the start then the overall series would have been so much better!
Vacations should have been included in World Adventures as well as Showtime and Late Night being together.
Generations should have been included in the base game.
These new expansions sound exciting and truly ground breaking when comparing them to the overall series. They messed up big time.
I love the second idea. Running amusement parks sounds fun, and it would be great if the skate park wasn’t one large object, but a bunch of pieces we can place, like the create-a-park mode in the classic Tony Hawk games. Spent so many hours in that mode back in the day. Maybe they could use a system similar to what they did with the jumping courses for horses in Pets so it would be easier for skaters to know where to go.
Don’t forget that sometime last year or 2010, URLs up to ep10 were active on thesims3.com. So it’s possible that we could end up with 10 Expansions. Would be sweet if EP 7 and 8 were magic/mystical then 9 and 10 were university and vacation. One can dream right? 🙂

Talk about bad ideas and, stupid ones for that matter xD I kinda like the farming idea. BUT THE BILLIONAIRES ONES, omg. Yeah like I want to see social dissociation in my game too D: No thanks.
I would like Magic, Seasons, University and then some of the above mentioned (either farming or vacation).
I hated World Adventures because they kept calling them vacations. That’s not a vacation. And it was glitchy as hell. So yay if they do this!
Let’s not get our hopes high though, or else if they disappoint us again… xD
The game needs Uni. It needs something for all parts of life. They could make it different than 2. I am disappointed that Sims 3 might skip over this life stage.
Are we 100% sure this is EA made? It was fine with the others but the farm idea has been a Fan favorite for a while and it makes me wonder a bit.
Anyways, I love the farm idea and TBH all I want from Uni is the poker table back. I used to make my sims play for hours all the time. I really loved it and miss it.
Omfg…im freaked…I have an outline for a sims 4 ep on my flash drive that I wrote after playing a ton of farm frenzy games and reading people’s post about wanting farm animals/farming and outlined a premise hughely similar to that option A….If my modem gets here this week, I’ll post it in my blog…..I am dubious of UPS ability to deliver anything on time.

EP8 – University
EP9 – Billionaire (It sounds quite interesting to me! Like if Glamour Life Stuff was an EP and not an SP…)
EP10 – Vacation (I like the sound of an island getaway…)

I really think The Sims 3 could have been a well received series if they went back into the past and did their expansions like so.
1. Base Game combined with Generations.
2. Late Night combined with Showtime.
3. University
4. Seasons
5. Cruising/Island Life
6. Carnivals
7. Supernatural
*Farming EP: Do not care for it at all, but for the fans it should be included with Seasons.
*Reality Television: Gross, I can also see this easily turning into some social features fiesta.
*Billionaire EP: Late Night & Showtime already offers the rich/celebrity aspect. We need more closer to home themes.
*Rant*
– IMO World Adventures, and Ambitions should have never been made.
– I would not buy Generations if it were its own expansion.
– I would still buy Showtime if its were its own expansion, but that is still wasting half a year on an expansion that should have been with Late Night.
– Pets was extremely underwhelming IMO.
The university one sounds cool; I’ve always wanted to send my adult Sims back to school, trying to hang with the ‘young ones’ and failing miserably, lolol… I also like the skate park idea and the vacation one too – sooo need the hotels to come back. Here’s hoping that Seasons is in there somewhere too 🙂
Option A is the one i want for a while now. i miss the change to the university in the sims and have the feeling of a complete life for my sims as college should be the best time of your life 😉

Someone on the sims 3 forum said that there was one that mentioned showtime in November and we got it in March.
Also I”m hoping if they do the vacation ep they figure out a way to do it without traveling causing the aweful glitches and bugs. I’m hoping for Seasons,Island and Universities.

EA is involved in these Sims surveys. They come up with the questions, scenario and etc. They do these to help schedule Expansions and what not.
Just took another version of this survey. The choices were University, Island Vacation, and the Reality show concept. I voted down the Reality because it will blow just like Sht, and be just as boring. I just thought the Vacation concept was okay. Anyway, I did my part by voting for University, lol!
The ideas are only as good as the implementation. I lost faith that EA will actually implement anything decent for Sims 3. Yeah, they had great ideas in “theory”, but implementation was horrible in the long run.
But in any case, it will be interesting to see what they do for the series.
It’s just me or they think about a EP on TV show, fame and showbizess? It’s a joke? A really bad joke?
On the good side, I like the idea about the island and the natives. Twikkii Island is my favorite Destination in Bon Voyage and The Sims Castaway Stories is the best Sims game for the atmosphere. It’s something that miss about Sims 1-2-3. A EP with a true native/history side, not just a vacation EP. With a theme like this, you can add a mix of new game mechanisms. You can break the idea of a university EP, a vacation EP, a job EP, a season EP…
The heck with the sims 4 I say EA should do all these. I like all 3 choices especially the one about the carnivals.
Unfortuanly after Seasons in November there are only 2 more eps left so I’m sure we want see all 3 of these.
I’d LOVE MERMAIDS!!! Hopefully we can BE them and not just befriend them. Gosh I’d love VacationEP so badly, especially scuba diving for treasures and ability to be a mermaid. I’ve been dreaming of actual EA mermaids since sims 2 first was released, I hope this time they’ll make a show in sims 3! 😀
