Maybe… Maybe not. But Swiss retailer ex libris has listed it for a February 15th, 2013 release date. Of course there’s no confirmation from EA, so who knows.

I noticed that 15th release when I posted about ordering on ShopTo back at the start of March. Probably a guideline and will adjust to the actual date.
like. i just want it to come out and be a good game. the precise day doesnt really matter right now.
This is where I would say no…do not want. I’d rather them have it done internally around the beginning of 2013, and use a good 8 months or so and test the living daylights out of the game before release. Seeing as they said it is only 30% completed, a year seems way too short. The last thing Maxis needs to do is release a SimCity game full of bugs, that would kill their reputation – even if they had a quick turnaround for patches.
Think about this: if this is the release date for Switzerland, Europe—which usually gets things later than the US—imagine just how much earlier it will be released in the US. And that’s just the ‘release’ date. By that time they’ve probably already finished it months earlier. And changed focus to planning post production and marketing.
