Just a heads up, if you care about MySims or SimCity Societies, get the stuff while you can, as I’ll be removing the patches and other things based on these two games. Going to clean up the site a bit this week/weekend. Also, please make a note that once February 2013 hits, SporePrograms and possibly it’s related pages/programs/tutorials will no longer be supported (domain will expire, and won’t be renewing).

What if Maxis announces something major to do with Spore when it presents at EA Game Changers?
Doubt it. Spore as a franchise is more than likely dead as it did not live up to EA’s expectations. 🙁
I will miss MySims. I quite liked the original and Kingdoms (though I didn’t care much for the little spinoffs that only related tangentially to the gameplay of the originals).
If the decision to get rid of MySims was based on the sales of the spinoffs, then it’s little surprise the series is dead. But surely the orginal and Kingdoms were good sellers. I hate it when a crappy spinoff (or 5) ruin a decent series.
Spore crashed and burned hard… But I hope someone will come along and find that some of the ideas in the wreckage are actually pretty good…!

Nope – just Sporeprograms (well, Spore news will still be archived, but all Spore stuff will probably be gone). Going back to just focusing on Sims/SimCity.
The technology behind Spore was amazing and many years ahead of its time. Unfortunately the game built around it was just not good.

MySims! I miss MySims… Its sad that it might be dead… There were so many ideas lying ahead of them… And if they just looked at everyones ideas, or took MySims Agents 2 back into production, they would’ve been more successfull! x(
