EDIT – This is lame as balls…SimsVIP popped in the disc, and it only contains Origin…nothing else. You still have to download the town from the store. This is utterly and completely stupid, what a wasted opportunity.
If you thought the Barnacle Bay town being released to stores was a shame, you’re pretty much right – nothing but an empty box. But to my surprise, there is actually a disc for Hidden Springs that came out earlier in the week. Hot-diggity-dog, now I won’t have to download the town from the store and burn my own disc. This is how it should have been to begin with.
UPDATE
Turns out that the disc ONLY contains Origin and SimPoints.
Via SimsVIP
Ohh cool
i would like the same for barnacle bay :s
Is the world actually on the disk? From what I heard all the disk ended up being was to install Origin, you still had to download the world from the store.
This is rich. i am working on actual in depth considerate & constructive reviews of the games, including praise, critism & noted bugs. on the part about the store, I brought up the whole paper code in a box thing… scary. worse, the reviews are sitting in a flashdrive on my desk somewhere…Keep meaning to fix/update that blog page I started aloooonnngggg time ago when I had no clue what to do with it.
thats good but the town still is not worth the money.
Are there simpsons in it???
No it doesn’t have SimPoints. It takes them back to buy the world and charges you more than the world costs in the store now then it pushes Origin down your throat. EA is really pissing me off lately.
Hidden Springs has been out for a while, why all the hype about it now???
SimPoints??
Great…it goes from code in a box to useless disc in a box…seriously? and who was the inbreed barn baby who thought up this idea?
Anybody feels this is an evil joke?
They knew we hated the fact we bought and wasted a useless cash on a box, and instead of just a code they gave us the fucking disc, so now they pointed and did “PSYCH!”
Wow, that stunt is really mocking us. What a stupid idea to come up with, I’m amazed.
I wonder if they wasted a lot of cash putting nothing on a disk?
