A producer on the Sims development team at Electronic Arts, Graham Nardone, says whenever the team revisits an earlier idea, they look at what new elements they can bring to the franchise and also how to expand on the features players enjoyed most. ”With The Sims 3: Pets, the most requested animal from our fans was the horses, so you’ll see these are in the game for the first time,” he says.

The other big change for The Sims 3: Pets is the ability for players to take direct control of their animals. Whether it’s a cat, a dog, or one of the new horses, players will experience life and see the world through their pet’s eyes.
