That’s awesome! I wonder why he left in the first place. Grant’s Twitter says he works on Sims games but he can’t tell us which ones…maybe he’s working on EP6 and 7? Hopefully not another spinoff >__<

    Oh my god……we a re screwed again…
When he left as the simling said we had the best 2 expansions and while he was working we got the worst and most boring games ever…..=.=

Oh dear. As SOON AS HE LEFT, we have received the BEST TWO EP’s (Generations and Pets)… Now he’s coming back…. :S

    He’s hot *blush*

He’s cute and all, but if he’s behind the goal-based gameplay, this is very bad news for the franchise. We were just getting somewhere with GEN and PETS, don’t screw up the series any more than it is!!

I think Grant is more suited for other EA labels. Someone needs to take his hands off this dying franchise.

It’s not Grant who was trying to turn TS3 into an RPG. That was Rod Humble.

Agree with Mitch…Humble was the RPG nut. Not sure about Grant’s return…I sincerely hope this is a good thing…keeping fingers crossed.

Ugh, he’s back. I really disliked him on The Sims team, and was glad when Grant and Rod Humble (at least Rod is still gone, he was poo). Ugh, this is bad day.

  13. Spon1Player Reply

And I really hope it was humble trying to make Sims more RPG

Well see Grant was the one behind the old ‘storyline objective based gameplay’, im not sure this is good but hopefully the expansions will continue the way they have!

Around the time of Late Night, Grant had said that “we originally planned to include weather but decided that it deserved it’s own Expansion”, this of course has not happened yet. I’m hoping that maybe with him back, maybe the next one will be weather or something really big… Fingers crossed!!!

It was Humble. He’s the one behind World Adventures being more about quest instead of vacation and the main force behind Medieval. Grant is a good guy, we should give him a chance.

He’s not working on TS3. He’s developing mobile games: http://twitter.com/#!/herrohgrant

The thing is: I know the major driving force behind TS3 turning into a fetch quest bore fest was Humble. But past history seems to suggest Grant was his accomplice. :S

According to his twitter, he’s working on mobile Sims games and not the Expansions and Stuff Packs.
