I’m a little late posting this but, there’s a new version of the CAP Demo!!! And yes, it fixes the issue with missing store content. Now you can go between CAP and The Sims 3 without the fear that your store stuff will vanish! This info was from a tweet or two by SimGuru Graham. As of the time of this post, you can ONLY get the new version via Origin. It will soon be added to both Amazon, GameStop (PC) and GameTree (Mac).
Please note that you have to UNINSTALL the Demo before you can download and install the new version. Also note that you do NOT re-add Twallan’s jailbreak Mod as it will not be compatible.

I got mine off Amazon and I have a Mac. You can select which platform you have so I guess you can add (PC and Mac) next to Amazon instead of just (PC) next to both Amazon and Gamestop, but I’m not sure about Gamestop though.
I hear that Twallan’s jailbreak mod doesn’t work with the new version, so I’m sticking with the old one 😉
Being so close to the release of Pets, there’s a small chance that he will update the mod. But if he does, we’ll post about it.
And a question that worth a couple of bucks : what about the players who already have installed the first demo and have messed up their Store items ? I guess I’ll have to re-DL and re-install them :/
You do NOT have to re-download your store items, you have to re-install them. If you open your launcher and click the downloads tab, you’ll see ALL of your store stuff. Click “select all” and then “install”, in a few minutes your store stuff will be re-installed. Simple. 🙂
