In a very strange and suspicious move, EA has removed the Pets image with the October release date from their Facebook Page. They’ve replaced it with the one that says “Fall 2011”. Being an official banner/image, it’s very likely that the date is official. However, if it is, why remove it?
The one that was removed.
Or maybe they’re just not sure if it’ll be finished by then so they can’t give an exact date?
Either it’s a planned leak, or a miscommunication. You know, like “Hey, minion, stick this banner on the website!” then a few hours later, ” Hey minion, you idiot, I meant the test website not the live website, next time read my mind!” sigh…
Maybe the date was leaked?
they’ve done this before. It was either with Ambitions or Late Night. Once it’s out, it’s out. I dunno why they have to keep doing this when the date is “leaked”.
As someone who makes games for a living, it makes total sense to remove the date from something like that. The less specific you get about release dates, the better, especially when they’re still months away. If they say October, people will (incorrectly) assume that October is a guarantee, a promise. Then they’ll get pissed off if something goes wrong and the release has to be pushed back. So you don’t say October, no matter how sure you are.
I’ve been thinking and well I think it would be better that the exact date is
mid-September since. September is fall and will have passed four
generations months and 1 month and a half from city life. I think that
should be the date, so hopefully that is not in October or November because it is
boring wait.
