The Sims Medieval was a strange game, as AJ Glasser discovered in her review. While it had some of the wit and charm of the more freeform mainline Sims games coupled with some fun gameplay ideas, the added structure and relative lack of customization made the game feel more limited and frustrating than the sandbox world of The Sims 3 and its expansions.
