Only $5 a game? This after the site has been down for weeks? Sounds like its the last goodbye to sims 2 to me.
Also worth noting that buried away in the Origin TOS is the following:

5. Content and Entitlement Availability
…If you have not used your Entitlements or Account for twenty four (24) months or more and your Account has associated Entitlements, your Entitlements will expire and your Account may be cancelled for non-use.”

Something to bear in mind when using this “service”. “Entitlements” basically means the games you have either purchased through Origin, or games whose CD keys have been registered on Origin (including Steam purchases).

Actually not every game, I looked and you can’t get Sims 2 Pets for $5
The only TS2 game not on sale is Fun with Pets compilation, which is the only one I would have considered (since I never picked up Family Fun nor Mansion and Garden Stuff Packs).
