Sims 3 Producer Graham Nardone has tweeted about the recently posted covers for Pets. Sounds like these are NOT the final versions as we and others believed.

The one thing that confused me a bit with the box art was that the Grim Reaper was riding a brown horse. I thought the reason he was riding a pale horse in the trailer was meant to be a reference to the horsemen of the apocalypse (though the death horse can be interpreted as being green too). It would be strange to change that so I’m not too surprised it’s not the final thing.
I’m gonna punch that guy in the face, cuz he’s acting like such a douche.

I already knew it was all fake. It looked fake. I dont get how people could’ve fell for it. It wasn’t even announced by EA yet
Karen – its real in terms of the artwork as it did come from an official EA source. What’s not real is that the boxart is still in development, so it could still change at any moment – rather it gets updated or swapped out with another PC of art. But it did originate from within EA 🙂
would be nice if people in the community would quit making fake covers/box art, especially when they claim it’s legit. so annoying. But now we know that what they are working on is way better than these fakes. Thinking about it, i don’t think EA would have but that cat and dog render next to each other like that. That also doesn’t look right. Reminds me of that show CatDog from the 90’s.
I don’t think the box art itself is a fake – It is/was an official piece of art at some point (as it was shared by official Sims 3 Facebook pages of other regions). But some of the translated boxes are fake (as in they edited the expansion name to fit their region).
Seeing as this is concept art (or artwork from a different region) I’m hoping the US box will be as colorful. Guess we’ll have to wait and see. 🙂

As for fake stuff – I really hate it when fans decide to create fake logos, fake icons, etc. Too many people decide to share it claiming they found it. My email usually gets flooded with that.

there probably going to add the background colour to the box art i.e late night = purple, generations = blue etc.
