It’s not everyday I get to feature content from all of the great and talented creators out there.Β I wish I could, but I just can’t keep tabs on everything that is going on!Β However, when emailed, I usually take a few minutes to see what the creator has done.Β In this case, Derek Pearce sent me a message of the fact that he’s going to re-vamp Sunset Valley (as well as other towns) to include features of every expansion/stuff pack!
The goal project is to edit every lot in each city to include the features from every expansion, add subways, salons, consignment stores, fire dept and such to Sunset Valley, Riverview, TwinBrook, and Bridgeport.
-Derek
Now, I do not know if this is a new idea as I’m sure many others have taken a stab at re-vamping their towns…But the general idea intrigues me.Β I am eager to look forward to what he can bring us.Β Below is a list of all available lots he has created so far:

Awesome plan. But for me the most important thing is to stuff the clubs and bars from LN into Sunset Valley/Riverview/Twinbrook. As I suck at designing these places, I just dowloaded a myriad of them and just placed them at whatever place I can squeeze them, which makes for a very haphazard town.
Having an updated Sunset Valley or Riverview would definitely pique my interest π
Oh my God, thank you so much for doing this. I’ve always wanted this. A very good job done.
Love this idea!
I hate that they bring out all these EPs and the previous towns become umplayable, esp if you need to fit the studio from Late Night in… I have somewhat managed to squeeze everything in, but it’s all over the place…
So, yay!
Thank you so much Jud for this article, I’d like to let the community know I will be updating the doo peas upload in the next few days since iv added a few new items to it.
And I’d also like to mention all my lots use only EA made content from the games as well as the sims 3 store.
– Derek
I like the idea but with Town Life Stuff coming out, will you do the new lots too ^^?
Hi, Derek! The member “Youlie25”, from TSR, made a lot of lots and changed her Sunset Valley. In my opinion, it’s amazing! But my hint to you is: please, do not use CC and store itens in your Sunset, so everybody can download it without putting a lot of things in their games.
You can take a look in Youlie25’s Sunset in her page:
http://www.thesimsresource.com/members/Youlie25/
In “Gallery” you can see an image of how her Sunset is now.
Fantastic… I’d love the whole thing as a new neighborhood. I like Sunset Valley best and spend hours editing it every time I start a new game….
I’m sure people would help you if you ask? Assign lots to be updated, and then upload the whole town as a neighborhood. That’d save tons of time for many people.
And please do not put CC or store content in! It’d make it a nightmare to try to update.
Thanks for doing this and keep us updated!
I had someone Ask me if if I take requests And I do, however if you request a venue that needs store content I do not currently have I won’t be able to make the lot/venue unless it’s gifted to me.
Now this isn’t just a comment to get stuff gifted to me but I am on a 80$ a month simpoint budget and it’s already been spent.
Just thought I’d let you know
-Derek Pearce
SimFans.De already re-vamped Sunset Valley π
Maybe you like to download it: http://www.simfans.de/specials/newsunsetvalley/
A redux of Sunset Valley would be great but Subways is pushing it too far. This is SV people, not Bridgeport. A small beach down does not need a subway.
The Sims 3 Store is an absolute rubbish idea, if you use the items from that I will NOT be downloading. The fact is, that means your content costs MONEY. Which is a bit DUMB if you want people WITHOUT that MAD amount of money to download it. :@@@
Kolby shut up. It’s being revamped, it will be modernised!
Yes I will be doing the lots from both town life and pets.
As for the store content comment, I try to use as less as possible.
-Derek Pearce
If you want the original Sunset Valley with the additions from Late Night and Ambitions (+Generations) without changing everything from where it belongs and without SC/CC, check out this link. http://www.carls-sims-3-forum.com/index.php/topic,3159.0.html
Thanks for all your feedback, unffortunately the base game and expansions don’t have the content needed for certain venues so I will continue to use it h
I was already on work to this π just on hold at the moment haha
I recommend the Sunset Valley that Sheng linked to in post 16. It has the original SV sims living there, and I love the clubs!
I like the idea, but please put Sims in houses! I downloaded the incredible New Sunset Valley made ββby SimFans and loved it, but it has no habitants π
this idea is incredible but dont you think you should wait for all eps and sps to come out so that you can make each neighborhood finished with stuff from the other eps and sps?
Hey everyone,
I have just finished 2 more lots and am uploading them to the exchange later today.
as for the questions here are your reply’s
Juan – That will be years from now and i would rather do it gradually as they come out.
Henrique – I’m only doing community lots and empty residential.
Thanks everyone for your support
– Derek Pearce
One last thing I forgot to mention, as soon as i can get the Romanza Ceremony, Reception + Attire set which will probably be in July I will be constructing a huge waterfront wedding venue for Sunset Valley, Riverview, Twinbrook and Barnacle Bay. The Bridgeport Venue may come at a later time but for now Bridgeport will remain the party town.
– Derek Pearce
Will you make all public restrooms use the gender doors? It’d be nice if you could use them. I thought it was silly that the pool and gym lots had two restrooms for any gender.
– Frankie I will be using the gender doors for all my washrooms.
I’d also like to give special thanks to cqueens who gifted me a sims 3 store set thank you very much and I’ll be sure to use it in a creation.
Today I started working on two beach lots, but I would like your opinion should I place hogans deep sea diner in sunset valley or should it stay in barnacle bay?
– Derek Pearce
Probably in BB. It doesn’t seem to fit SV, but that’s just my opinion. It’s up to you. π
Thanks for your insight, iv decided to leave it in BB
No problem! I’m glad I can help. π
Revamped? Modernised? Unlike your social skills.
