Looks like EA is finally putting Playfish to good use! According to an article posted on MCV, SimCity is being brought back to life from a three year hiatus – this time, on Facebook!
How will it stack up remains to be unknown, but I hope that it won’t be nothing like SimCity Societies. My fingers are crossed that it’ll be a mix between two of my favorite SimCity games – 2000 & 3000.
All I do know is that they have to compete with Zygna’s Cityville. It shouldn’t be too hard though. Cityville was awesome for a short period of time until Zygna started capitalizing the hell out of it. Of course, seeing as this will be by EA, I have a feeling they will too. We shall have to wait and see.
Im very much addicted to facebook, so this makes me happy in pants lol.
I do hope its like you said, a mix between 2000 and 3000. Those were my favorite as well. But they will milk it for everything its worth, and playfish are so money hungry it makes me a little sick.
Dam you EA!! I want it for my PC not facebook!! but still play it, as long as it not like cityville and your aple to zone, but i dnt think they will include that, they should make a chrome app 😀 (using html 5 not flash)
Cityville was fun for a while but honestly, I don’t want something similar to it, I want a proper fully-fledged SimCity 5. I don’t even mind if they keep it at isometric view (with 3D graphics) as long as it played like a SimCity and looked and ran beautifully. I don’t want a Facebook version 🙁
