Over on the UK retail site, GAME is a listing for The Sims 3 Generations Limited Edition. This special version will include The Sims 3 as well as The Sims 3 Generations and will retail for £44.99 which roughly equals $72. Expensive, considering it’s basically like The Sims 3 Deluxe (that retails for $49 or $29 depending on where you get the game). As a few of our readers commented, you’d figure it would be bundled here as Generations and the base game seem like a perfect match to be sold together.

Sadly Jud, here in the UK that’d be pretty much standard fare for a special edition of a game. For a bundle pack it’s just over the cost of a new 360/PS3 title, but I realise the dollar conversion makes for pretty shocking reading!
Not a surprising bundle though, admittedly. If you were feeling especially mean and cynical you could even say this is actually the launch of the FULL version of The Sims 3. 😛
For those interested, the site is currently listing it at £19.90 !!!
This bundle (BG+GEN+1000 Simpoints) is now actually cheaper than the regular GEN EP (now listed at £22.98)
I first thought it was a mistake… But no! Needless to say, I’ve ordered it 🙂
