Problems With Reflections and Security Level 7 – The Sims Medieval

BeyondSims BeyondSims Author

As I’ve been out of the loop the past day or so, Sims Nieuws informed me that there is a big problem for those with integrated video cards dealing with reflections and the Security Level 7 in your kingdom.  Here’s what the Sims Medieval team has to say about the issue:

Problems With Reflections and Security Level 7

Hello all,

There are two issues that appear to be causing crashes for some users. After reviewing the system information it appears the majority of the systems affected are using integrated video cards. The two issues are below:

1) If the Enable Reflections is on a crash will occur when viewing a room with a mirror. To turn off reflections:
-Click the … icon in the lower left of the screen then click Options…
-Uncheck the Enable Reflections option.

2) When the kingdom’s security level reaches 7 the security walls are placed in the kingdom.
-To avoid this issue do not place a building that will cause the security level to exceed 6.

We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and are doing everything we can to resolve the issue.

Well at least they acknowledge their problems unlike the makers of TS3. We’re left in the dark until a half-ass patch comes.

Acknowledging the problems doesn’t necessarily equate to fixing them. The Sims 3 team finally acknowledged the broken lighting problem in TS3 in a Q&A a while back. No fix has been forthcoming since despite the number of patches released since then.

Bwahahah, so glad I didn’t buy this when it first came out. Gonna wait until christmas when it’s down to about 10 bucks.

Searching through the web and trying a zillion solutions (most from EA), I found one that works, it really solves the problem! At least in my computer. It’s in this forum:

    Good luck!

Well that’s comforting to know my graphics/video card doesn’t need replacing.
Still, you’d think a company like EA wouldn’t release a much anticipated game with bugs like this.

My daughter loaded the latest patch. played all day yesterday. Shut it down, I took her home, she played some more. But when she shut down again it would not allow her to save. Now it will not allow her to play. Any suggestions?

Tried the https://www.cornbreadhemp.com/collections/thc-drinks from Cornbread Hemp — the well-disposed with a eat of THC. Took entire in the future bed. The flavor’s right, slightly wanton but pleasant. About an hour later, I felt noticeably more insouciant — not groggy, just peacefulness enough to direction eccentric without my tell off racing. Woke up with no morning grogginess, which was a good surprise. They’re on the pricier side, but if you labour to unwind at tenebriousness, they could be advantage it.
