If you are anticipating Nintendo’s next handheld – The Nintendo 3DS – drop by GameStop as they have began to take pre-orders for the system, as well as 4 games (Lovely Lisa, Madden NFL Football, Cartoon Network Super-Toon Rumble and The Sims 3). A representative from GameStop confirmed this in the following post by IGN:
“Yes, we have started taking reservations, though we do not know what the price will be, what colors will be available or when it will release,” the representative said.
I don’t know if its wise to give your money to GameStop at this time without learning anything about the price or what colors it’ll be offered in. We do know that the system will launch sometime in March, and that EA has said The Sims 3 for 3DS will be available come release day.
A funny thing worth mentioning, GameStop has a product page for The Sims 3. It’s listed under DS, but the game has already been available…and this one is priced at $39.99 with a release date of June 1, 2011. I think it’s a placeholder page for the 3DS game, but time will tell if it is.
Thanks to Skyline for the tip!
