USA Today – Will Wright on his new venture with ‘Bar Karma’

A new interview with Will Wright popped up, discussing with USA Today of his latest project, Bar Karma!

How did this project come about?
Wright: A year and a half ago-ish we pitched it. I’d been playing with how do we take storytelling that we have seen in things like The Sims and bring it into a linear media. It seems that the Web is becoming the connective tissue for these experiences. So we came to Current; it’s almost run more like a tech startup. I talked to a few other TV networks about this idea and they had no idea what I was talking about. They didn’t even know what a Web group was. But this has been something we have been working on in the background for a year and a half-ish maybe.
