Cheater, Cheater, Derek Jeter! That’s how it goes, right? Some would say that its lame if your life sucks bad enough that you have to play a simulation to make it better. Well thats okay, we’re all lame here! However, cheating in said simulation, well, that’s just sad no matter what views you have. But we all do it – either to get quick money or to experiment with the various things the developers have hidden.
GameInformer has posted simple steps for both The Sims 3 on PS3 as well as Xbox 360 on how you can access the cheats so your Sim can escape their sad, pathetic life:
Everything you could ever want in the console version of The Sims 3 comes from a magical llama who, through simple interactions, can grant a bottomless bank account and unlock all of the powers (including my favorite, Firestorm) and items in the game.
WARNING: Activating the cheat will disable achievements, trophies, and challenges for your current save file! The game will prompt you to save a duplicate file before activating the cheat (which you should do), ensuring that you can go back to an unsullied version of your sims.
With the caveats out of the way, here’s how you do it:
- You must be in-game with your sims
- Press Start to bring up the pause menu
- Press the four shoulder buttons simultaneously. That’s L1, R1, L2, R2 on PS3, and LT, RT, LB, RB on 360.
- A dialogue box pops up and asks if you want to enable cheating. You do!
- Now you can select Spoot the Llama from the menu. Go to build mode, open the catalog, select “buy,” and find the llama by going to “Décor,” then “Misc Décor.” You can place him for free!
- Once the llama is on your lot, go back to live mode. You can interact with it to access all of the cheats.

what you do is IN GAME press START HOLD L1+L2+R1+R1 enable the cheats then buy llama from decor click on it and cheats include +1000 simoleons +50,000 simoleons +25 karma etc….

I don’t believe you use the motherlode cheat – you follow the steps the post provides and then it gives you a llama you can buy and the cheats are accessible through that.

Yes,you have to hold all four triggers at once not where you hit one at a time all at onnce then go to live mode and click on the lama…….easy now try it……..you will get a pop up message once done correctly notifiing you that it will block achievments,trophies ect…

Thanks soooo much! It worked!!! XD At first I couldn’t activate any codes and then I tried putting the llama in my inventory and it gave me lots of money! For those who had the same prob as i, just press start during live mode/play and it should take you to the pause menu, then press L1+L2+R1+R2 at the same time and a cheat screen should pop up. then say yes to activate it or whatever it says, and next during live play, press select to go to build/buy mode and go to decor and where it should say misc decor. if it doesnt work, then just put the llama in ur inventory! i hope that works for you and sorry guys! i have ps3 and dont know how to activate the cheat for xbox

You guys are rediculous. Just press the top four buttons (AT THE SAME TIME) and follow the instructions. If you can’t find the build mode or figure out where the misc section is, just play another less complex game. GEESE.

Absalutley brilliant cheat and it does work! The only problem with it is that you have to go onto Karma Powers to maximize your motives (Hygiene etc.). Otherwise, a great cheat!

if you have a pregnant sim and you want a girl then eat watermelons if you want a boy then eat apples and if you want a ghost baby then put your trait to kliptomaniac, then go to the graveyard collect some of the dead male remains and then place them in your house, at about 11pm the ghost will apear become friends with it everyday it disapears at 4 am wen the ghost is really close to you then kiss and try for a baby untill she starts been sick then when you give birth to a baby it will be a ghost that you can controll. really simple x

also buy a bookcase, then have your Sim begin to study. Interrupt the action so that the book is placed on the ground. Sell the bookcase. The book can now do everything the bookcase could have done for free.

to have a fire baby start a fire and make your male sim die in the fire when he dies instead of being blue he should be red/orange then instead of sending him to the netherworld click him and keep him in the living world be romantic then try for a baby if you sims is pregnant you should have a fire baby girl/boy. and for a water baby make ur sims drowned in a pool

another cheat (i figured out by accident) for xbox 360 is while in play mode to go to the mail box and press LT and A together this will let you reset your sim, make all sims in your family instantly happy, make friends for you, force visitors/ death/pizza etc, also to set your cateer, make needs static or dynamic does not work on toddlers/babies!

To make Sims drown:
1. Have target go for a swim in your pool.
2. Go to B/B mode, then take the ladder away and put walls `round your pool.
3. Watch target die with a sinister smirk on your face. You monster.

I got a 5person family 1 teen 2 children and mom and dad so I have a huge mainion and a pool. My mom sim went in the kichen nd cooked beakfast deid cause of fire in some odd reason. The teen died because of starvation.the kids died of drowneding: /

The cheat worked for me i got infinite money the llama had babies and all my people were in love. i own three bits of land and everyone is my friend. i got proposed to twice and a cheat unlocked all the clothes, hair and makeup!!! thanks alot for ruining my game!
