We’ve featured their 7 minutes of gameplay video a couple days ago, now it’s time to read their impressions on The Sims 3 for Consoles:
First thing I did was create a new Sim to take a look at the editor. It reminded me a lot to the PC version, but I noticed a few changes in the interface for the controls benefit. I also noticed an intention from Maxis to make everything easier to understand to the newcomers. ‘The Sims 3′ uses very unique gameplay concepts, but I think every new player will understand immediately, terms such as the short-term desires and the lifelong goals.
However there’s one addition to the game that’s going to be new for everyone. The Karma mechanic is so much fun. Your Sims will basically have very funny super powers that will reward good behaviour or will make it even more evil. You can simply make money which falls from the sky or bring one member of your family back to life.
On the other hand, you can play God and send an earthquake to that irritating neighbour. It will destroy his belongings and these deeds will make your Sim super evil. Your call. What do I recommend? Try to keep balance between good deeds and bad ones, because the more you trade karma for a better life, the more likely something bad will end up happening to your poor Sim.
