Guys, about the The Sims 4, it isn’t much relevant, they KNOW they will be making a new Sims game, so, the sonner possible, they register a domain for it.
e.g. The Sims 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 domains are also, registered to EA.
So they are just making sure no one “steal” the domain name before they get the chance to get it theirselves.
Yep, they did that around the time of The Sims 2 🙂

But .. but what about The Sims 3? No wonder why they released Late Night earlier. I hope this is not real..
Sigh…I wanted to avoid that topic but there are getting to be a number of conflicting reports coming out so I may wind up having to do so.
The domain thesims4.com has been registered since 2003 – it is extremely old news. Not only that, but at the time EA also registered domains for 4-10. They did so to hold on to the name so nobody else would get the chance to snatch that up. What everyone is seeing now is the regular renewal of the domain (because you have to renew them every couple of years so they won’t expire. The Sims 4 is still a long ways off – no doubt that it is coming, but there won’t be any announcements anytime soon 🙂 Maybe by the end of 2011 or 2012..
There is no way they would announce it in 2011 or 2012. You’re going to have to wait until 2013 at the earliest but more than likely they will announce it in 2014 or maybe even 2015.
