SimTimes provided many of the Sim fansites with live tweets from EA’s presentation of The Sims 3 Late Night from GamesCom 2010. Here are the notes:
- Neighborhood isn’t so full…
- Bridgeport is the name
- The home is the highest floor
- You reach the penthouse with an elevator
- You can set the color of the hot tub
- Arcade machines!
- There’s a bubble machine again
- Large aquarium for the wall
- With the cursor on the thumb of your sim you can see his star level
- Sims can dance on the tables
- A drink can remove all bad moodlets or your sim can learn faster
- The vampire bar is really dark with some red spots
- Vampires are more functional. They can buy plasma in hospital
- Bridgeport is an island connected with bridges
- You can see through the swimming pool with windows on the lower level
- A special object makes your lot to a bar
- Bridgeport is really urban
- You have to buy special multilevel penthouses
- Call the butler with the cellphone
- A butler costs 1200§/week
- The superstar career also relates to the new celeb feature
- You can pay off the paparazzi
- You can play for tips in the subway
- Special food truck parking lot
- Late is more hooking up than romance
- Late Night presentation has finished
late night has finished? does that mean they are finished with production?
i wonder about “the neighborhood isn’t so full”, what could that mean?
Sorry about that Bryce, he meant the Late Night presentation has finished – he left that out. He’s also German, so his English translation isn’t the best. I believe the ‘Neighborhood isn’t so full’ means there are plenty of empty lots for us to put down houses/sims.
Thank you so much =D
I thought when they said it was finshed they meant the presentation on the tweet thread.
I’m disappointed that there is more hooking up then romance. Romance is lacking in the sims 3. Maybe we will get more in seasons but who knows. At least we have hottubs back.
I’m really excited about Late Night, thanks for the news, but one thing bothers me. I really wanted this new town/city to be a part of the old “Sunset Valley” or “Twinbook”… So my old simmies can go to clubs on free days 🙁 I really miss that from Sims 2.
I’m confused. does ‘Neighborhood isn’t so full’ mean not a lot of sims or no houses. Also, if the buildings are shells where do the windows go for the sims living inside them?
I think that only the last floor (the penthouse) will be playable which also sucks…
effing ARCADE MACHINES! I hope someone recolors them to Pac-Man and etc ;P
Am I the only one who finds the idea with the drinks and stuff boring ? I mean what’s so special ? makings/shaking and then give it a name… *how exciting*
I’m with you xxx0! I can’t stand when my sims use the bar or coffee maker in the game as it is because I don’t see the point in it. It’s not like anything special happens. They just get the weird little caffeine buzz icon or something but they don’t seem to act any differently. I think that’s just stupid. I mean at least make them an animation where they act all jittery or something.
Thanks for the list.
Here’s the same list with links to the original tweets for reference: http://bit.ly/9DlQB6
Awesome facts! Arcade machines! Cool!! And the city is an island connected by bridges…kinda sounds like New York City to me lol I’m sure it had an impression on this EP!
