@LoveGTAandSims, Nah. That’s just how they drew the cover, i actually think they could have made a more attractive looking cover. But those poses are things that they just do, thats no big deal, but lets say they don’t include a car liket he topless one, that would be a big deal. Stuff packs don’t really add anything other than hair, clothes, and objects, maybe some houses.
And remember that hairs etc on the cover of HELS never appeared, so don’t expect the depicted objects to be accurate either.

I’ll buy a stuff pack when it has either a hot tub or a christmas tree. I don’t need more cars. Glad the rest of you are excited about it, though.

Ooops. Do I sound excited? I’m not. I don’t plan to buy this SP at all unless it has roughly twice the objects of HELS.
@LoveGTAandSims: Honestly, I wouldn’t get my hopes up about those 2 cars. Like tea_and_blues said, the covers aren’t always accurate on what it comes with. Those cars being in the pack aren’t guaranteed.
Then again, the Mansion & Garden Stuff for Sims 2 added the new feature that reduced Sims’ bill if you purchased the eco-friendly objects. That required some kind of new coding, didn’t it? But yes, in general, SP’s don’t really come with new/revised gameplay other than CAS parts and B/B objects.
You’re right frankie, the wind turbine and solar panels were added to Mansion& Garden Stuff. That stuff pack also saw a new type of staircase that at some times allowed a sim to slide down the center banister, and sims could now get down and smell flowers that were planted outside. Though, officially on the cover, Mansion & Garden stuff was a stuff pack, but when you put the disk in, it said S2EP9.

Exactly, Nate. Which means that with that SP, EA broke the tradition of what a SP should have been simply because those new features seemed right for the pack and it could be because it was the final Sims 2 pack of any type. I wish SP’s could have new gameplay, even if just slightly. Like in this case, we could have the animations of Sims opening the car doors and having interactions inside of them. Then again, I kind of want EA to open the ocean for swimming. I hate going to the beach and not be able to swim in the ocean. Oh well.

i think i wont buy considering ur comments and see how ea has made those awsome cars look more atractive and thus the game more atractive by adding shine on them..
reminds me of the new BMW about which i read now om yahoo…..
but ill see a review of it though nd then decide.

They did add animations to HELS. We didn’t have an aquarium before but with that SP, we got one and they added cleaning the tank. I can’t think of any other new animations but surely there were others with some of the other new items. I’m going to be skipping this EP though anyway. I rarely use cars unless I want to add them inside a garage on one of my builds but then it’s really only for show. I used them all the time in TS2 because the animations were great there. Plus, HELS was a HUGE let down for me and so were both expansions to date. So unless, something drastic is done, I’m probably finished with TS3 altogether.

See? That means that in theory, SP’s could use new animations. In fact, I think it should be like this: EP = full-featured pack with the most objects and new gameplay, SP = half an EP or mini EP but focusing more on objects/CAS with minimal new features/gameplay, The Store = what SP’s generally are. That way, SP’s will be worth buying not just for the new items but for the minimal new gameplay. If we want just new items, that is what the Store is or CC from the community. Personally, the Store makes SP’s pointless and vise versa. Only one should exist.
Don’t forget that they did add the possibility that neighbours would complain about the electric guitar in HELS. It’s a tiny addition, but it is a gameplay addition. They’ll include some points of difference to stress, and maybe even some objects with unique interactions or effects. They just probably won’t be that exciting.
Tea_and_blues, yet another feature I never knew about. I’m learning something new all the time. I guess i’m just so sick of guitars and how overrated they are that I just don’t bother with them in the game. Seeing as how everyone wants to be a rock star in Sims 3, it kind of killed it for me, lol. Also, if a piano ever made it to an SP, it would require a new animation with a new sound. *sigh* I miss the piano. Hell, I’d love an accordion as well since it’s a very underrated instrument.
frankie, ANY other musical instrument would be a plus. The way you feel about the guitar is the same way I feel about cars in The Sims 3, they are totally overrated. There’s no point in having them since the cab is just as quick if not quicker and it’s a lot cheaper than owning a car. I wish this SP would add a bunch of musical instruments instead of cars. At least that would be something that would add to the game. We already have a big variety in vehicles but only a freaking guitar as a musical instrument.
Chris, I so would drool over a music SP full of an assortment of instruments. I’d definitely get it more than I’d get this one. I agree that cars are pointless. I just meant that there should be more to do with them than what we can do with them. They’re more like decoration at this point.
This would be nice, however have you guys noticed that
now on sims games you just don’t get that many objects.
remember all the cool stuff from the sims 1 when you got an expansion pack
you would get tons of new objects, we don’t even have a piano yet…
the creators are loosing their touch!
